Yeah there is a FH2 launcher (as opposed to using "mods" within BF2). Though sounds like you still got other issues...

EDIT: Getting some error when the game opens saying how I need to check my shortcut so I tried running the exe in the folder as admin and says I don't have privileges
Go to the bf2 directory, find the exe, right click on it, compat, Run As Admin

Do the same for the pb exes just in case, those you will have to find on your own.

I had the same thing, I just ran as admin and everything was smooth sailing. Don't launch bf2 from the one that says play online now.

Woo that's a damn good start! Yeah this 101st server is getting more traffic now. There are 54 people playing there right now and it's fairly early in the evening. The WOLF one I usually play on is busier later. Again always Euro servers but high ping of course.

One benefit to the smaller community/fewer players and servers is you see many of the same people playing every night and get to know them. And there's almost always an admin at WOLF playing and they are all cool guys.

I suggest the ATF sniperworld server for BF2. Nothing but sniper maps and slots.

ATF Admins are asshats. Myself and others have been kicked/banned just for joining the server. Nothing more then just getting in the game even in kit, not even 1 minute or so with no provocation and when pressed on their forums either ignored or given a BS reason.

Nothing but a bunch of self important pr1cks.

I agree with ya got kicked like 10 times before I learned the exact rules to play in their servers. I play the BF30 server a lot too.

I still play BF2 even though it's pretty dated now.
I have to agree though that there seems to be a bunch
of kids and hackers now more so than before. I brought
it up once to an admin and he said that nobody cared because it was such an old game.
BC2 beta is pretty fun but playing one map for weeks now is getting really old!

If you preorder the game from steam you automatically
get access to the beta. You can also preorder from gamestop online and get one.
Be warned BC2 is not friendly to videocards and has a few bugs! It is pretty fun but it's definitely a beta.
