Will the double amount of RAM make it GSOD twice as often too?

What I find particularly interesting and had a good laugh over is the screws in this pic. Reminded me of something.....forget what though. Hmmm

It is hard to say if this is real or not. I mean the screws point to a hasty design to quickly launch this card. The vent goes beyond the card so it could let dust into your case if it is filtered. I don't know. Would have to say I would need to see this working with bench numbers to believe it is even real because seriously now....Who uses wood screws to put a card together?!?

2GB would be handy for us Eyefinity users that run games @ 5760x1080 and other large resolutions.

You can clearly see the fins of the heatsink behind the exhaust vent..

Ever own a GTX 295? It had similar screws, they were machine threaded screws.

Perfect! Just a shame that this card is so late in the game
It does look lovely and no doubt will perform lovely too. This card is practically made for Stalker Clearsky and the sequel when it is released.
Great work ASUS, just a shame this was not out and about 3 months ago.

uhh.. am I the only one who noticed this doesn't have 3 proper display ports? I mean, 1 HDMI, 1 DP and 1 DVI is poor if you ask me. What did they do with that last DVI port?

How much of the orignal reference design has changed. Whenever Asus comes out with one of this wizz bang cards they change the ref design so much none of the FC waterblocks fit.

good point... 2 mini dvi and one hdmi or dp would have been much better... or 1 dvi and 2 mini dvi... since there are adapters from dvi to dp and hdmi, right?

i dont get why display makers arent using dp... i thought its license is free?

Why not just dump DVI altogether and just use the smaller ports so you can fit more of them? Like all DP or half and half with DP/HDMI, or DP/miniDVI?

Why are they still including these massive, legacy-looking ports? I mean they can all be converted to DVI if people still use monitors with those connectors anyway, can't they?

i think the biggest issue is that converters for DP to other things go for like 20$. cant throw in 80$ worth of adapters when you can just put one of each type on the chip, and tell consumers to deal with it.
