Yet another 800D WC project "Othello"

Hey again guys. This project is really a take off of my other project after 2 leaks in 2 XSPC dual bay, dual pump res. This time I decided on the EK bay spin res in black Im not sure yet if I'm going to go dual loop or single loop with 2 pumps. Suggestions would be great on that guys.

    Part list:
    Corsair 800D
    Intel i7 860 (1156)
    EVGA P55 FTW SLI 132-LF-E657-KR
    Dominator Ram 8gigs
Mips Ram cooler (2 weeks till they have it in stock)
EVGA 260 with custom air/water cooler
    2x OCZ vertex 60GB SSD's

    2x Swiftech 355 pumps
Ek white toppers for the pumps
    EK-BAY SPIN Reservoir
    Black Ice GT Stealth 360
    Black Ice Pro Compact 120
    Enzotech compression fittings.

The mobo sitting in there. I already have most everything sleeved from my previous build

    The EK res

The pumps with the tops on.

My apogee GTZ ( I know it's dated now but still good enough for me )

The Mobo has mounting holes for both 775 and 1156 coolers but the 775 holes leave the block askew not to mention the retention bracket will not work due to the back of the 1156 CPU bracket being bumped out a bit. I have the proper one on order from Crazy PC should be here in 2 days

In case there is anyone who hasn't seen it here is my custom GTX 260 hybrid cooler

As I mentioned before I don't know if it is better to do a dual loop or a single loop with two pumps in it.

So I had about 2 hours to kill and I am just doing some figuring as to where I want my tubes to run. I am even thinking about throwing my EK multi option in there. Here are some more pics of some updated ideas I am working with.

I used a small 1/4" round aluminum "dowel" to brace the tubing out enough so I can hang it there to cut down on vibration.

Also i think I am going to throw the multi option up top there and see what I can come up with

I'm thinking it will line up pretty well

Got the Ek spin in as well. think looks good in this case

I like the black and white. I've never tried the EK res set up horizontally - will be interesting to see if it works out ok for you (if you go that way).

Oh, Oh it works. I had many people doubt me, but it did work in my very first water loop

Thanks for the kind words guys. Yes I painted the pump, the stock fans, the apogee hold down plate, The stock EVGA cooler, and the corsair fans. I think I'm going to replace the fans with xigmatex ones though and the Corsair ram cooler wwill be switched out for a Mips ram cooler in 2 weeks (when they get it in stock)

OK so here is where I'm at now.
I flipped the top360 rad and mounted the 120 to it.

I did use some black tubing to try and hide it in the shadows a bot

This is what I came up with for using both pumps in tandem

Here's a shot of my new Apogee GTZ 1156 mounting plate in white

    My OCZ SSD's

I still have to change the tubing on the Vid card and it is a HUGE PITA but it needs to be done.

    More to come soon.

I do have a small update:
I redid the tubes on the Gpu cooler and changed them to white and I think this will be the final tube routing.

All I nees now is my ram block and I'm set. CPU > Ram> 120 Rad. I may even throw in a temp block so I can get this up and running already.

looks better with white tubing, but the levitating pump seams a bit weird, doesn't it? you should move it up, right behind the EW front water tank!

Thanks for the advice and kind words. The idea behind my hanging pump is there is no vibration and hence way less noise. If you look closely the bottom pump is not sitting on the midplate either. It is actually levitating as well.(maybe not in that pic, but it is) I cut a small piece of Petras gel stuff and stuck it near the back of the pump keeping it off the ground.

you could do the gel trick for the 2nd pump as well...
and another idea: if you don't intend to fix the pumps, for a better look you might wanna cut off the fixing "feet" on each side of them... you'd have to re-do the painting, but it'd look cleaner too...
otherwise, did i tell you i love that board? (mine's on its way home )
and also nice job so far!!

Thanks Josk I was thinking of cutting them off, I just may do that. Since I have had these pumps I have never mounted the "normally" So I doubt I ever will.

Also Remember I said this bud, The Mobo looks even better in person!

After what feels like a year of waiting I FINALLY got my Mips ram cooler. I have to sy the thing is bad ass! I know that it's not necessary to water cool the ram, but for the bling effect this works perfectly. Here she is.

I couldn't wait to throw some compression fittings on her

Here's the rig ready for a 24 hour leak test

Here's a shot of the lighting converterless of course

I installed a tiny switch for the lights through one of the holes under the I/O panel and that worked out well

I was concerned about the xigmatek fans looking odd when replacing my custom painted ones, but after seeing them I love em.

This is exactly how they look, not a camera blur

My SSD's will look like this once I finish their mount

Another LED I added for my babies
