I don't agree. I think it was more like AMD who did that - take 320 sp's, first shrink it, then shrink + 800, then shrink + 1600.
Nvidia didn't even bother adding SP's to 8800 GTX until the GT200 series. They just shrank once. Of course, that they didn't add shaders doesn't mean they improved a lot in architecture![]()
