Amazing job Laine! Your Crystal Clear project inspired me to keep modding my V1000Z instead of using a bigger case.

My previous computer was a watercooled crossfire rig in an A05b. It wasn't even close to looking as nice is yours is going to.

I fear your mad photography skills! Do you mind sharing your backdrop and lighting setup? I can take close-ups of computer parts using just sunlight, but it is the full computer pictures I have trouble with.

I think you still will have some space for your HD enclosures, i used the T-60F top panel and modded the case a bit, i also didnt like the aftermarket top grills.

Here are a few pics of my PC-05 in the aircooled section (not wanted to post the pics directly in here), there you can see the space left towards my DVD writer and the nice original looking top panel ofc.

It does look nice but I perfer a clean case top, partly because of noise but mainly looks.

I will have my Himuros hanging from where you have your fans in the top and not in the 5,25" bay, so I can't imagine it being even close to fit.

Cool. Just so you know, I wasn't critiquing.. just saying that your photo quality is so good that you could stand to enlarge them a bit.




What diameter is the tubing? Looks like either 7/16 or 1/2".

I like how you painted the GPU shroud white.

Yes I know but I like the old 640-standard for a project.
I'll promise you to post some hires once later on, as I said before.

I think it's 1/2 ID and 5/8 OD but I'm not entirely sure, what I am sure of is that it'll be changed to a thinner, transparent one with Feser Blue Premix running through it, it's well worth the risks imo.

I'm sorry if I seem angry or upset, I'm not always able to find the right words to express myself properly.

About not seeing the computer -- I think you will see more once you get rid of the big-ol-fan on the GPU and put a slim waterblock on it. I also think the tube connecting the rad and res gets in the way and makes it feel like you're blocking the computer more than you are. Try re-routing. Maybe something like CPU-RAD-GPU-RES/PUMP-CPU.

That's actually not a bad idea, not a bad idea at all.
