    And why exactly is that?
You do understand that even 1080p is a rather pathetic resolution for PC monitor? If you like coarse image quality (due to the enormouse pixel pitch), then yeah, go for it I guess.

You do understand that pixel pitch isn't everything? Judging from your response, I see that you do not.

Let me remind you what ISF says about the most important aspects of picture quality (in order) and I believe that that they are a "little" more knowledgeable than you.

    1) contrast ratio
    2) color saturation
    3) color accuracy
    4) resolution

But nevermind, go for it, buy 2560x1600 monitor (hell, why not try finding one of those 3,840 x 2,400 ones ) and throw a grand+ in video cards. And you still won't have satisfactory perfomance in Crysis/Stalker on very high/beyond very high + MSAA + transparency AA + Vsync + TB.

The Tesla card would use lower spec'ed part, right?

2560x1600 has twice the details as 1080p, and the article supported the benefits of higher resolution which was my point.

    Are you lost?

In most cases, Telsa/Quadro cards seem to be higher/tighter bins due to very strict power/cooling/reliability requirements.
