Hey kev you get around aye.

I was hoping to find a new bios after P16 for this mobo. Can any one tell me the best BIOS for the X4 940 BE? I am not able to push my FSB beyond 260ish w/the P16 bios and would like to be able to at least get my FSB up to 300 or more to get my NB Frequencies up where they should be. I'm sad to say this but I think I should have put my money towards EVGA X58 SLI Classified Limited but then I would be broke and would prolly miss out on the the i7's for that mobo.

Has any one kept up w/the MSI/Lucent mobo launch date?

Since a few weeks I use the M4N82, it's a very nice, stable und OC-capable board, although the featureset of the Destroyer is unreachable (dual-GB-Lan, DVI+VGA for example), but: the M4N82 has got a real good bios. All the issues/bugs with the S3-state are gone, the missing NB-multi or NB voltage adjustmens are present.

    It's a shame for foxconn.

Most of the nforce-Boards will reach a wall at about 260-270Mhz. Solution: get a board with adjustable NB multiplier. And if you still need high referenceclocks around 300Mhz go for AMD790GX/FX-Boards. For example the Crosshair III reaches easily 330Mhz ...

If I switch mobo's I'll prolly go w/intel this time around unless AMD/Nvidia based mobo's can get it right. I was told the Crosshair II is suppose to have adjustable NB multi's as well and it has the 780a chips set as well. sure wish Foxconn would take the thumb out of you know where and get us a good bios once and for all. It's a shame really because this mobo has so much potential...

If you're switching to intel, the MSI P55-GD65 is a good choice. Almost as many features as the Destroyer.

The only thing it lacks is tri-SLI support, though it can do normal SLI and Crossfire.

    Phenom II 965 BE C3 (125W)

    Hi all
I'm running the newest Phenom II 965 BE C3 (125W) on a Destroyer. It's been running great. No problems at all.

    Cheers

Hey Fatalbert, sorry, I guess I was a bit too unspecific.
I'm using the P16 BIOS right now, but I installed the CPU while running the P15! I thought it was up to date but I was wrong of course. I flashed from Win7 x64 with the FOX Update Utility to P16 a few hours ago. No problems at all. Just a few BIOS settings were resetted to their default values (or maybe all? I'm not sure). So make sure your IDE/AHCI/RAID settings are properly adjusted for example. Go for it guys No need to wait for another BIOS for non overclockers! I know it's not great knews but it's not too bad given the current Foxconn Support. -.-

hmm, now i should get P16, but from where mine problem is that C3 doesn't work with def settings i'm still using IDE hdd so this shouldn't be big problem. I borrow from my friend GB MA770-UD3 and the same C3 as in the past, so I try again with different bios run C3, you gave me lots of hope man big thanks goes to you for this information

    No problem!
    Here's some more:

    The P16 BIOS:
You can flash directly from Windows with the "FOX LiveUpdate". I did it from Win7 x64. Just startup the utility and then select "Online Update".

Or you can download it from the Overclock.Net Foxconn Destroyer Club:
    BIOS P16 Direct Download Link

If I'm not mistaken you can load the .BIN file in the FOX LiveUpdate utility or just use the files with a bootable floppy disk. But you probably know this already...

Actually I was in your situation a few weeks ago, now some more people with destroyer+965 C3 are starting to show up on forums

If you have more questions feel free to ask.

    Good luck!

I submitted a support ticket to Foxconn exactly one month ago, I still have yet to receive any response. This is entirely unacceptable.

What's going on at Foxconn? Are they preparing to close up shop or what? This complete lack of support is highly unsettling.

With the economy, I am sure they prob have one guy in the support department doing nothing but answering phones all day and waiting for that special day to get to those support tickets while wondering to himself "Why me?" or "I am quitting as soon as I find another job!".

Unless you know what you are doing, don't buy the latest stuff and have a lot of patience... stay away from this board.

Well, there is still more than 1 person support there to be honest. It's just hard to get things done from this side .

So for everyone in this thread that hadn't seen it yet, get your Destroyer G10 BIOS @ http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=242973
If you are having issues with the board, please try it. Also, you'll all be happy to hear that there is some more development coming for this board. It won't be massive, but just that little bit extra to play with. Check out G10 first.

Yup you can Visit it here. I would not say the club is anything spectacular just yet but more or less a couple of proud Destroyer owners who share the same enthusiasm for the Destoryer and it's potential

TY. I'm eagerly awaiting the NB Multi'd BIOS file.

This HTT hole you speak of. I have not been able to POST w/any HTT settings over 260 through 300 HTT and have not tried anything beyond 300 as I thought it just would not work.
