Hope to have another update soon, guys. I have a few more pictures that were taken of the pumps in the windows that I couldn't upload last night because imageshack was having some trouble. I'll try to get those on here soon and then screw the shelves in so that the zero-G SSD concept can be brought fully to life.

I think I like the windows for the res's even better than the SSDs. Nice job.

    Thanks, shazza.

Wait until you see the weightless SSDs, though.. I think that's going to be a sweet effect.

If I played my cards right, you should be able to see the bubbling res inbetween the floating SSDs on the open side of the chamber cover.

Another update should be coming soon. In the interim, here are some more hardware pics that I hope you'll enjoy.

Thanks, kg! It's UV Black, and the other is UV Clear. The black will be a purplish color similar to my avatar when lit, and the clear will be a bright white.

Thanks, Sharko! Good to hear from you again; I thought I had lost you.

It's not a 100% modification, but it's close. I was chatting with some enthusiasts from another online community and stated to them that I think my next build will be a scratch build so as to give me a larger sandbox to play in.

Really appreciate the kind words everyone. Can't tell you how excited I am at the outbreak of support that I've received for this work, and honestly, things are really just getting started. Many surprises are still in store and will be revealed soon.

It's been a busy weekend thus far, but I hope to make some more progress with the build tomorrow.

My new radiators came in, two MCR220s by Swiftech. These will be replacing the XSPC RX240s because they're thinner and will fit on the inside of the case. The profile of the RX240 was too fat and was hanging over the motherboard when installed inside the case.

One will be set on each loop.

    Loop 1 = CPU, NB
    Loop 2 = GPU1, GPU2

Xion X2 - love how the res windows turned out.

Also wondering if you were planning to overclock your cpu and vid cards? I ask since if you were concerned about not having enough cooling power with just having a 240 cooling the CPU/ NB and another 240 cooling the SLI 275 GTX's? Its probably enough , but I know some people who like to have more cooling if they can fit it...

I'm cooling an overclocked QX 9650 and a superclocked GTX285 with two of those rads, and I idle at 34c, and load at 44c on the cpu, and thats on a swiftech GTZ block.

On the GTX285 Im idle at 29c and load at 40c, however, I'm not running them on two separate loops. Using one single xspc restop. This is the "browser" rig in my sig below.

    And they fit nicely.

If not a 100% modification, maybe is a 90% jejejeje But seriously is a big modification. I want to see the photos in the Cosmos S thread when you finish you work

    Thanks, jpm.

The CPU I do plan on OC'ng.. the video, not so much. And I'm not concerned at all about both 240s being able to handle what's in my loop. I think the rad surface area is plenty, and my flowrate should be good since I'm using low restriction blocks and two pumps.

I love the Swiftech rads. The updates look great.

You were running a Core I7 right? You might have some issues getting over 4.0 with it and staying stable while benching, but you would probably be ok with everyday use.

I would just play with it till your happy with the clock and stability when it is done.

Is the purplish and white color what you will get when it is UV lite only?
If so then it should be black and clear when not UV lite, is that right?

I'm not concerned at all. This is just my opinion, but I think a lot of times that guys go overboard on their radiator setups. Two 240s, along with dual DDCs and high-flow blocks, should be plenty to cool what I have with a high overclock.

Yes, under UV only does it change colors.

Progress has been slow as of late. Some stuff I'm waiting on, and some things I just can't do in my current residence. For example, I needed to hammer out a bend last night for one of my shelves, and just a few seconds later one of my neighbors was yelling at me.

So some things will have to wait until the weekend when I go back to my dad's place.

I did make a new purchase recently that impacts the project. refleXion will be running 5870 Crossfire on Eyefinity.

Xion, this is the first time I have chimed in but have been watching from the start. The build looks great and I can't wait to see it completed! As for the rads, they should be fine. I'm running the same rad on my CPU loop with an i7 920 and Heatkiller 3.0 LT Block and at 4.2Ghz I have not hit over 60C while folding, so you will have no problem!

As for the 5870's you will love them! I just sold my 2 4870x2's and am running the XFX 5870 and I'm loving it. I will go Crossfire too when I get back from deployment. If you plan on watercooling, may I suggest the EK FC5870 Plexi+Nickel waterblock:

Not only does it look great but it performs like a beast! I have my GPU at 900/1300 OC'd and I have not hit over 33C while running Furmark and I idle on Windows 7 at 27C!! I'll try to get you some pics of mine installed with some temps if your interested.

Wow, those temps on your 5870 are incredible!

I would definitely be interested in seeing more of your setup. Like you, I also had quad Xfire last gen before selling it off when I was strapped for cash.

Thanks also for the kind words on the project.

No problem, those kind words are well deserved! I throw up some pics of temps and the waterblock early next week when I get home so you can see the blocks in action.
