It looks like that will be my only option.
I've got 2 possible solutions for my problem. Take the old EVGA GTX 285 Hydro Copper backor wait for a solution from EVGA.
That's what the distributor said a few days ago.
I'm saying this should have been resolved a long time a go and if there's no solution I just want a full refund and forget about this EVGA.
