So this is about what YOU think and not about what it is.
YOU did not look at what you bought. YOU assume that YOU have a right to something else at the manufactures expense because YOU made a mistake
I was wrong it's not your retailers fault. It's your. YOU screwed up. YOU didn't research what YOU bought and now YOU regret your purchase.
YOU choose to purchase the ER model and not the AR.
YOU bought a Chevette and thought you were buying a Corvette bucause they almost have the same name.
And now want EVGA to pay for your upgrade.

Wow the next time I go to McDonalds I am going to complain that my Big Mac should have a steak on it because I think it is false advertising, it says "100% all beef patties", and that means steak

Stop whining and take the refund, before someone realizes YOU made the mistake and decides to charge you the restocking fee.

They advertised the card as an ER, he ordered an ER, and got an ER

So a company that gives you exactly what you ordered is not a company that you want to buy from?

This thread shows one thing. People don't care to take responsibility for their mistakes. It's always someone else's fault that they didn't take the time to read the information and make an educated decision. "Poor me, I forgot to do something and now nobody else want to pay for my mistake so I don't have to" "So now I'm going to yell and scream till I get my way, Mommy EVGA won't give me what I want"
