Well, after having two audio ads again tonight within less than a minute of browsing these forums (while listening to music) I have decided I no longer wish to visit here. Use adblocker or other crap I have to install? Why should everyone who doesn't want to be annoyed greatly each have to fix this for themselves, the administration here should just remove this BS.
Bye.
Main - for now:

I think that by having a subscription to XS, one should not have to deal with any ads at all. I personally don't like them anywhere on the Internet, but to see them on a site that I pay to help support is grating.

I really don't understand how the people without ABP use the rest of the web. If I take it off I am annoyed on most sites I visit.

Yeah, I'd be totally fine with ads as long as they didn't have damn automatic sounds. Ridiculous!! Luckily, I've successfully blocked them out using the privoxy solution from Chrome linked above. Linking again for convenience: http://lifehacker.com/5046529/how-to...-google-chrome
Those Ads (more like AIDS) are talking, and to be honest I would be more than happy to donate a few bucks to help out XS just to make things less noisy around here. I just want to be able to talk on Skype, listen to music with out being trolled by these scams for ADs. (Suggestion: I wouldn't mind banners advertising computer components. It would be much better than work at home scam ads and free iPhones.) I do thank you XS for not resorting to inteletext or what ever that pops up when you roll over certain words)
For now i am rage quitting !! BYE

Just for everyone who has not read Fuggers response and might not be aware, he is attempting to remove the audio ads. Give him some slack though - he was pretty ill recently and presumably has some other things to do right now in terms of getting his affairs back on track and from what I can tell it sounds like removing the ads is a largely manual process.

do we have to understand that the site has been savagely hacked with talking ads and scams while the owner was away? is that the explanation![]()

The provider of the ads probably switched them without permission while he was away...at least I'm getting predominately Dell ads now, as much as I hate them.

If I were the owner I'd be feeling like getting more rest because I couldn't even get sick without a bunch of crying nerds having a fit over small things.![]()
XS is really on the decline lately; this is just another episode of the gradual decline in overall quality of the site. Hey! We're all here at the pleasure of the site owner so what can we do? It's truly sad.
yeah...hey, XS's up and running, so that's business as usual, why even bother posting
