    Watercooling Test Benches

I have been looking for a different way to work on my board but most cases dont suit my plans.
So i think a trolley with a bench table is more fitting.
Can you folks suggest some models please.

I have already looked at the DD Torture Rack, Coolermaster and Dimastech models but i would like to find some others to compare to them.

    Suggestions are appreciated.

Yes! long term, building a custom one would be ideal, i think i would need to own a few over the next few years before i would really fully know what i would want to build before investing all the time and materials.
A box is what i have used in the past before assembling the parts for final build but i have three loops now and its getting unweildly so something more substantial is needed i fear.

That banchetto101 is real nice, good find and the tecnofront has a lot going for it too.
Pity they dont do an all steel/alu model ive never been a huge admirer of acrylic.

Seems the dimastech is the front runner atm.

Or, as already said, build your own; i'm making it myself and it's quite easy and affordable, as i finish it i think i'm gonna post some photos; but the banchetto 101 is really a beauty, but not so affordable...

I got the Banchetto. I like it, it does it job well and looks great. I don't move it except to roll my PC table to the kitchen to tear it down etc.

The thing is, a tech station ain't ment to be pretty. It's the step between pretty and easy to work on. Banchetto is the only one with some class, but you gotta pay for it. It's not perfect but it holds my sig rig just fine.

My last tech station was layed out on a BIG piece of butcher block, over 27" long, 18" wide.

    Now

Before, much lesser stuff in the rig too.

    When I was just air.

    Right yes,
That Banchetto has a lot to commend it.

My plan was to get a widebody AV trolley for widescreen CRT TVs, with three trays. Top tray would hold bench table, middle could hold extra fan controllers and cables, with the lower holding all the rads, pumps etc.
It would be ideal to mount my rads all vertically as my top rad is a curse to bleed.

Thanks for the ideas fellas, appreciated.

Conundrum, do you happen to have a shot of the back of your banchetto, on the rad side please?

That looks like you could fit 3x120.4s vertically on that. Awesome.

Sry to necro this thread again but I am nearing the point of being able to pull what i need together for my next build and wondered if Conundrum could tell me a couple of things more about the banchetto?

Your vertical radiators, could a third fit in between the other two do you think?
Also, do you think one of these would be too heavy for the bracket on top?

    Thanks again.

Nope, not enough room for 3 rads on the back. You could if you made a custom backplate if you have access to a sheetmetal shop. It's just a piece of aluminum bent with 4 screws holding it to the top and bottom acrylic layers. The rads like that would be wider than the back though. And It would be tip heavy to the back. I can really feel the front being a LOT lighter.

And yes, the screws in the top to hold the fan bracket would prolly crack the acrylic if that rad was put on. It's pretty fragile. Again, making a new bracket with some new screw holes would work.

You need something bigger and better methinks for your setup.

My Le Chuck test bench is great with a few modifications. How ever it has extensivly changed this these pictures, running a crystalfontz display with sensors, and the pumps are powerd an external bench PSU so they get exactly 12v all the time.

Yes that LeChuck one looks solid.

Where can i find more info on these please?

    I have need of something quite big that can support 3x120.4 + a 240mm / 3x5.25" controllers and 4xD5s + 1xDDC
It'll be mounted on a trolley of some kind to move it all around.

Is 12v a problem to maintain without a second PSU then?

    Thanks.

When using the main PSU, you can't garentee about voltage drop. And when you are testing you need to keep the variables to a minimum.

Here are a couple of test benches that I threw together. The first one is a dual setup, water on bottom and air on top. Nothing fancy, just functional.

The next two are single watercooled setups.

    Hi LeChuck,
My plans changed recently and i needed a bench that would support four radiators and five pumps so I decided to get one designed for me, it is under way now.

Those current ones you have made still look excellent.
