deachus: If you haven't changed anything in the bios like core voltage then all I can think of is that your core temperatures are a little higher in your recent tests and that's triggering throttling. Bottom line is that bios 0001 hasn't fixed the problem like bios 0006 v1 has done for many happy users.

-=DVS=-: Sorry about that. I've been too busy juggling all these different special bios versions for all these different but very similar P6T boards that I guess I lost track. That's excellent info to know and it's even better that it's at the top of a new page so hopefully other users can find it, 49 posts from now.

Well flash tool and bios is deep in the thread , but whoever needs it here is my mirror at megaupload contains AFU236U (flash tool) ,006 v1 bios, and bat file you run to flash or run manually AFU236U /ibeta0006.rom /pbnc /n
What i did was boot to dos from USB stick ( i don't use floppy anymore ) and run the bat , once flashing is over , power down (i did not reset but power off), power up go to bios load defaults .
The only difference that i noticed from v1 bios compared to my original one i got extra section for SAS controller which my motherboard obviously doesn't have so select disable and your done basicly.

    this board is scary fast

it's missing some timings and i'm not happy that Asus seems to have locked it RAM table to CPUTweaker

    Thats just silly

I'll tell them all tomorrow i guess to get that sorted out.....but it's very easy to OC..................decent RAM clocks, CPU MHz, bus, etc all good

USOLDIER, if you go one page back you can see my 920 D0 screenshot 20x200 4Ghz which requires 1.296v to be LinX MaxMem 20 runs / Prime95 Blend 8 hours stable. I would say without a great batch that voltage is accurate for 4Ghz stable. What is your batch# and I see your mem timings are set to Auto? I would set these manually.

Hey , my batch is 3916b089 and yeah my mems are in manual 9-9-9-24 , so this would be ok to use 1.296v at 4ghz , what about QPI/Dram setting would it help anything to use it over 1.25v ?

Ive read some stuff about Qpi/Dram voltage being somewhat "linked" to Dram Voltage but still didnt understand how exactly it works and what QPI/Dram voltage may help with tbh .

    Thanks for your reply deachus

Usoldier you can always avoid 20x multiplier and try 21x. There are less problems with 21x multiplier.

Hey guys I have small favor I am getting this board and I am going to be removing the heat-sink and re-TIMing it, I was just wondering if anyone can post some pictures of the back of the board with close ups of the screws or connectors used and if possible if anyone knows offhand the size of the screws.

And if anyone happens to know some links to a pictorial of someone re-timming the chip-set heat-sink that would also be great.

    Thanks!

Exact model im getting is: ASUS P6T Deluxe V2

Just gotta do some soldering and you can.

Edit: wrong thread. Move on, nothing to see here!
Yes, you can. However, you can be limited by your video card, HDDs and NICs.
And it is not 24/7 friendly.
