Are there any particular memory dividers and nb straps I should avoid? Any particular settings I should disable for overclocking? Dram write training? also where is performance level in the bios?

really don't get it...I had my p5q at 512fsb stable and I'm having trouble getting over 400 with this one :/

I am also using the F5F beta bios...unfortunately I can't revert back to the F4 as I can't find it anywhere.

ok thanks, I appreciate it. Was looking forward to some high FSB clocks with this board...and I know my chip is decent as it did 4.2GHz on my blackops with only 1.275V

thanks so much for that, I'll give it a shot and comment back later

Yea, it's a starting block, let us know.

Edit: I'm sure 4.00D is 1:1. It might be something else; just choose anything from 1600 and above based on your ram's capabilities. TRRD or PL 8 should be the right setting too. I'm just not too familiar with OCZ ram.

Gurusan, try messing with ur ref voltages (CPU & MCH), on my q6600 i needed 0.80v on mch ref to get past 400fsb, although i wouldn't think u would need to do that on a 45nm dualie...

Also, for 400FSB u should use the 4.00A (266) strap, i found anything above that (333/400 straps) would make the RAM unstable and need +dimm. Although importantly - for 450FSB+ the 333 strap works wonders...

I have never been able to get my system to run right with tweaking the clock skews. What does that do slow the north bridge talking speed down a little? If it does wouldn't then then in turn slow down your performance a litte? Or does it just keep things in sync? Might be a dumb question, sorry if it is.

Yeah, it's about sync, only useful in high fsb situations though, not for breaking 400 fsb, with a dual core.

Well, I can't even get the damned thing to boot into windows at 450FSB.

Also those settings look quite wild compared to my old P5Q Deluxe....I was 512fsb stable (4.6GHz) with 1.20FSB term, and .655 GTL....also only used 1.32 nbvoltage

So.....I tried every single memory ratio at 450FSB and nothing boots at all! :/

It can't be the board though, I'm sure it's something else. you're overlooking. Give me some time and we'll figure this out.

    Edit:
Using the same settings from my other post: If you haven't yet, disable TURBO and use 3.33B PL8, (or 9, if it doesn't boot first time) I think that'll give you DDR3 1333. Also, what vdimm are you giving the ram?

Gurusan, have u tried ur RAM modules on any other P45 DDR3 board? And are they low voltage or the 1.9v?

Thanks for the help everyone, turns out I wasn't giving enough MCH voltage and the GTL ref was wrong. Now using 1.38V MCH and .750 MCH REF..and 1.28VTT

I had the P5Q Deluxe before this board so I know exactly what you are talking about.

They should do mate, i think my kit is 1600 C8 1.65v i5/7, they are normally the ones that work best with this board. Although i can't guarantee that.

my memory is using elipda BBSE chips, you think it will be fine?

Also is this mobo capable of doing stable 500FSB?

I have a damn good question here. Is there any way at all to tell what this motherboard sets the references to etcetera when they are set to auto? There has to be a way to do this. I had noticed with the Easy Tune that it wasn't telling me everything that is set when stuff is set to auto. Tell me what you guys think about this one and thank you.

Nope, because if I set those settings it will never ever boot. The board has to be setting different settings then those when set to auto. Thank you though for trying though radaja.

your not setting what your seeing ET6 are you?
like your not setting say 1.28vtt and setting 0.760v in bios right.
for 1.28vtt you would set 0.810v to get 0.760v in ET6.
not trying to make you look like you dont know your stuff
but i just want to make sure i understand what your trying
