I did the same on my BGF GTX285 SSC H20 and still vgpu is 1,22+ loaded...mem didnt change still 2,1ish

now i have 1/2/3/4/11 can bench it till 800/1764/3096 but no to play, to play Crysis i go 792/1764/3024 on other games 792/1800/3024

Any tips ? to get that awesome vgpu ? wich penciled resistor you meant ?

    Cheers and thanks

sergio: try crotales vgpu mod.. i got ~1.50vgpu

well after ocp mod after capping C75/C76 after lowering 1.3vgpu down to 1.1vgpu on the 2gb v1.1 evga ftw.. im playing grid @ the following clocks comfortably.. can even push 1800 shaders

    72core/180shader/180mem clocks gained @ stock/air cooling

v regulation/protection on the 285s is a really nasty beeotch

if gt300 will get the same treatment.. i give up!!

thanks napalm but with 1,3 will be fine for me as its a very hughe waterblock, on my next rebuilt i will heavy volt mod it

but on the vids i tried till the ones you said and just got 1,223+ and im playing games at 792/1764/3024...Crysis, Grid, and like 8 more...

I would love to get a nothch more of vcore

    Thanks napalm

alright.. well youve only done step 1

read/look thru the 3 step vgpu mod post:
    http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...&postcount=237

step 2 - pencil gets you more.. or replace the resistor with a 500 ohm vr set @ 300 ohm

    step 3 - 500 ohm vr set @ 200 ohm gets you more/closer to the 1.39v limit

if the bridging of the vids is done properly you can get ~1.39vgpu

once you reach above 1.3vgpu you gotta perform crotales ocp mod.. start @ 10k ohm vr and if you have to lower it.. you can go as low as 1k ohm no problem

all together it mounts to 4 steps

benefits of the 4 steps ? if all 4 done properly you wont lose any mem clocks.. youll gain core shader and mem clocks

    cheers

    Hi guys!
Got a question regarding OCP mod I haven't got the second spot to mount 100k on my Gigabyte GTX285 2GB.

What's the result resistance after mounting this 100k? Now I have 20,1 and 10,7 between this resistors. Maybe it's one of them?

One more thing. Can someone please translate it:
    http://phpbb3.ocmag.eu/viewtopic.php?f=155&t=147

Actually I'm polish so i should understand most of it, but...

    1. Vgpu - how the heck cut this wire - pin 19 it's so small that almost impossible to see
Well, so PIN 19 - 150-330 Ohm -GND ? And thats all?
    2. MEM - PIN 11 - 100k- GND
    3. OCP - this point which I marked RED/GREEN to GND
    Is that all?

Im wondering if my card has some OCP or OVP under your voltajes as i had some issues for ex i get brown screens or blue while playing, i measured and load vgpu is still 1,22ish... so i dont know what im on doubt is that i can get vmem go higher no matter the vid i connect i just keep getting the same...

Currently im playing and passed zillions of gpu tests at 792/1764/3024 at 1,22ish loaded...bench i could go to 800/1764/3096 as i posted my 3DM06 in this thread but not to play Crysis for ex but yest on the first clocks i mention...as im on water i think that my best bet is to rebuilt and hard mod it the good way

i will try to pencil and see what i can get

Thank you very much for your help

I really miss the old days when we could mod just about anything with a pencil and some conductive ink. Even the 8800GT vmod was pretty easy.

no matter the vgpu mod.. ocp mod should be performed first @ isl6327 based 285s

    unless vsense is modified

on air cooling even @ 1.1vgpu ocp kicks in like a mofo (solid color screen)

lets hope gt300 features better v regulation

Awesome clocks napalm. Rive tuner - in an older version im pretty sure you can set a ridiculously high core/shader clock by altering the max limit in the power user tab. Do a search to find out how or just have a look in the tab it was very straight forward IIRC.

If you get stuck maybe PM the author.

thanks guys.. benchable? sure! @ better cooling

yeh i found how to increase shader clock @ rivatuner and i was going to get better cooling but there are more important matters to take care of.. so i gave up on crazy clocks

but i was able to get to bench the 2GBer @ 799/1800/1377 on air

Nice Napalm i found that DX11 tolerates more shaders than DX9 and DX10, was able to bench 800/1872/3024 on DX11, but just 800/1800/3096 on the rest on W7x64

well dx11 on dx10 card is run thru the wrapper.. hence the lower fps than dx10 but no higher iq

but if it tolerates more shader clocks go with dx11

dx9 seemed to be the most demanding but after further vmods it didnt anymore
