    If I'm not mistaken X34xx Xeons are Lynnfield dies binned on their IMC performance (they have to be able to support buffered memory) and if they are anything like the Bloomfield based Xeons (w35xx) it could mean better electrical properties across the rest of the CPU die aswell => potentially higher overclocks.
