So scrimmage etc will be possible, you do get to set the rules and invite people but you don't get to run your own dedicated server, instead the system connects you to one run by IW. Thus you can have private matches, if my understanding is correct.

So if the server you get connected to is actually low-ping (and/or located in the middle between the gaming parties geographically), then it should be not bad. Should being the keyword.

So it's not as bad as L4D matchmaking.

I also noticed that the guy lists his game collection on his site. PC titles are numbered in 26, while console titles take many pages. In other words, one of the guys who gets to call the shots is a hardcore consoleer.

I will tell you i use to play on the Xbox but did not go further than the original and didnt touch live. The Live system is set up so you just have to press that a button sit there and wait to be connected while it finds a server with enough open slots finding the best connection and even the same language. I came from the console to a PC and you know what i read about a guy who has vista running on his xbox 360 because the os sucked. The PC is supirior because we can do more than just play games and watch movies. We can browse the internet. And when it comes to playing games we can have up to 64 MAN servers. I want to see you console do that.

They want us to buy into this system 'sight unseen', with no demos and only their say so that it will be excellent. Sorry but a little under 2 months ago 402 stated at shacknews:-

So in effect he lied to us, then when we complain we get a load of BS about we did it for the fans and your nto helping yourself by this stunt. 402 states IWNet is a major investment, well the whole purpose of an investment is to get returns on it at a later date thus they are not very well going to implement IWNet for love and chuckles are they.

Yea and how well did that work for microsoft and games for windows live again. Um its now completely free.

OFF TOPIC about writing: for those of you who are native english speakers its the same whether its written perfectly in english or not because you will understand it anyways. But you should think that XS is an international forum and, as such, many of us are not native english speakers so as if it wasn't difficult enough to understand you when you are writing as you have to, somebody just starts missing dots and letters which means we do not understand of what you are trying to say.
So, please, writing correctly is totally free, so don't be so bloody lazy and do it.

No insult to the XBox360 players but most of them nvr really did any gaming on the PC and therefor dont know what they are missing and how badly their MP games have been butchered. hell some console players i know think its normal to pay for extra maps.

Today at work i talked to a guy who was planning on getting it on the xbox360 and he asked me what the entire fuss was about. It ended up with him cancelling his pre-order and signing the petition.
He was already annoyed about the crappy player limits and now he is thinking of getting a game worthy PC.

There is no "servers", this is matchmakingl ike in halo, 6v6 or 8v8 hosted on whatever player is declared as the host, connection.

that was indeed from me. unfortunately, it was misinterpreted by people who don't know the severity of the issue at hand, an issue that goes a little bit beyond the enraged pc players. trust me, i'm a pc gamer as well and i was one long before i worked at iw. i can understand the frustrations of a community that feels neglected but this message was not intended for you. in fact it was only intended for a select few people that crossed the lines.

i understand the feeling of being upset, i'm not some cyborg with no emotions. but there is a right way and a wrong way to approach an issue. some people are approaching it absolutely the wrong way. i'm an artist and i make no decisions on what goes on. i make cool vehicles and guns, that's it. wishing my family death and telling me to die slowly is backwards productive to any sort of idea that you are trying to champion. people have been directing a lot of very angry messages to me through the internet. i've shrugged them off or tried to reason with them, most of which are happy to engage in dialog. that's not a problem to me at all, i'm well aware of internet rage. but when you wish me and my family a slow death is where i draw the line.

i feel like i owe this apology to the people who interpreted my message as one that was addressed to the entire pc community. please understand that it was not. i'm not an , i don't hate the pc community, and i don't want that idea to be spread.
