no crashes or any strange behavior.and prime95 blend and
LinX are good,so im happy.ill post my template,hope it helps
others.i still cant get 210x20 with turbo off to boot whatsoever.

To get from 4.2 stable to 4.4 HT on stable on my ud5 just needs a big bump in vcore. At 200 x 21 I need 1.275 in bios for stability, at 210 x 21 I need to bump it to 1.393 in the bios to pass 20 runs LinX. I also go QPI from 1.24 at 4.2 ghz up to 1.3 for 4.4, you might need to loosen the ram timings a bit or bump the vdimm depending on your memory. I also have llc enabled & EIST disabled

hey thanks for the info.but still, im not using turbo when im trying 210x20.thats what is confusing me,ive upped the vcore from 1.20v to 1.30v
so im sure if it can do 4200 w/turbo w/1.20v,4200 w/o turbo should be doable w/1,30v.is there any other voltage besides Qpi/vtt that i should change for higher bclk?ive tried qpi/vtt from 1.30v to 1.34v,could it be i need to go higher?ill keep working on it.thank you![]()

Has anyone used the F10D BIOS on the UD4P, how does it fix abnormal CPU temps? Is it worth updating to?

I think it fixed the abnormal temps in the BIOS, not through the OS environment. I was using it and everything ran great. It's like F9C and doesn't cause any issues when entering Safe Mode or anything like that.

ARG, all of a sudden i am getting 6 gig (4 gig usable)
I see other people reporting the problem but am not seeing the cause. I have my memory at 8,8,8,24 at X8 which at my current BCLK of 190 puts my memory at 1520.
Ideas?

Ok after pulling a stick out one at a time and booting and seeing

I then stuck in the stick that appears to be bad, and cant boot at all, and i tried it in 2 different slots.
I guess i have a bad stick of ram?

Wow, that's very low Vcore for 4.2GHz stable and excellent temps - what cooling are you using?
to lower my vcore from 1.206v in bios to 1.200v.
as to cooling im on water,and for the LinX run i used
a vent hose from my airconditioner to keep the temps
down low.the hose blows 5c air directly into my rad.
i thinks thats what is helping me with being able to
lower the vcore.
still cant get the computer to boot at 210x20
at 207x20 it boots but crashes while loading windows.
but ill keep trying![]()

Well, I guess that clears things up in my mind - there had to be a reason why you were running so coolCare to elaborate on your w/cooling components?
As for running at 210x20, try with turbo on (21 multiplier) - I have read that 200x20 seems much harder to get working. BTW - my UD5 boots at 220 bclk, and I can get into Vista at 4.62GHz with a little over 1.325v. Its not stable though![]()

well its a custom loop that i got from someone and it has a XSPC220 rad
not sure what the pump is, the waterblock is an EK supreme.might be better
if i take some pictures.i think its a magicool res.i think the pump is a
Danger Den DD-CPX Pro.at least it looks like that model.

There once was a board that began with the mythical "EX58A-" .....
So i am just gonna go ahead and buy new ram for my UD5. Is there any specific speeds that are beneficial to overclocking? Ram seems a lot more independent then it used to be on the older sockets.

I see you were using the XMS memory- did your UD5 set the correct timings for the XMP profile? I have the CAS7 version of the same memory and my GB Extreme simply won't set the correct timings using the XMP profile, whatever BIOS I use. I'd be interested to know how you get on with the GSkill...
