do you have to unplug or power down the psu before you can try booting agian? i had a issue with a PSU no working on GENE, that required a bios update. accroding to the notes the mobo's overcurrent protection was kicking in cause the problem. only two ways to fix it, a psu of different internals or updating the bios. though you said it nearly makes it into windows before shutting down. makes me think it is heat related or cpu is damaged.
