Very exciting. Anyone have some solid info on when the new motherboards drop? Same launch frame as the desktop kit or before? My debit card sits in wait.

Over at AMDZone, John Fruehe let everybody know that server boards are not overclocking boards; what we know now is that they seem to respond a bit better than your Nvidia-based board to software tweaking. I have high hopes for you when you get this new AMD chipset in hand.

I think you'll be looking at December or January before you can get one in hand. I read that either here at AMDZone. All this AMD info has made everything a blur to me.

Whats the news of a socket change for the desktop? Is it staying AM3 for a while longer or is it getting a change as well? Maybe it will use the C32 socket? That would certainly be convenient, then we could use these 12-core CPUs easily without having to buy the high end server boards that cost a bunch of money. But still as Glow said, would be nice if a "desktop" version came out that was cheaper.

Ithink not, because in April 2010 coming Leo (better Phenoms, maybe called Phenom III: x2,x3, x4 and x6 desktop CPU). Early coming C3 revision to desktop, maybe late this year. And in Q42010/Q1 2011 is total new CPU architecture "bulldozer", think, ownage CPU.

    Hi all,
Just arrived in Europe today. I had a few friends link me to articles questioning the validity of my screenshots - if they are fake or not. In no way shape or form is anything I've posted EVER been fake Here's a peek at the board:

When I get back, I'll prove without a doubt this setup is the real deal

No worries--you've got supporters here. There is no need to prove yourself to anyone. If they want to think it's all fake, I say let em. It's their loss.

Now, on the other hand, we'd all still love to see more pictures and stuff.

That's a little low for a quad core system.
I was hoping to see 2.4GHz at least but at least there is hope for more.

If you're back, try something to bring the NB Clock up.

And interessting to see that it seems that AMD uses the same (crappy) Coolers they use since they broght the socket 754 and 940...

Have you used an Intel stock heatsink yet? AMD's heatsinks are a huge step upwards in quality
