You don't use stripe size w/ a single. Stripe size is for only for RAID.

128k or larger is what you want. I would go in to it but I am lazy But the short version is that the erase block page is generally 64k. So everytime a write is done, 64k needs to be written to the drive. Now multiple that by two since you have 2 drives and you have 128k.
