I went to an airshow on Saturday, so it isn't really "Of the day", but hopefully it'll be Ok. Also, first time for me at an airshow, and first time for me trying out any kind of panning... Worked out Ok I think, for a first time anyway.

Hmmm. Its not that much overexposed for me. It seems that its the camera having trouble with the white balance.
Did you set it on auto?

It happened to me also, Rebel XS' has poor "auto" white balance.

I rotated the image a little, the perspective is a little off if you look at the edge of the building behind the car. The lines should be more vertical. I then darkened the image a slightly and adjusted the white balance.

Hmm...interesting. I was looking at the cops vest, and it's hard to distinguish if it's white or yellow(i assume yellow)..it's "washed-out". I figured that was overexposure. The only settings i adjusted were exposure and aperture..i left ISO and Exposure Bias on auto. That, as most of many of my posted pics, were taken a year or more ago. Now, i'm learning to fiddle with ISO/f-stop/exposure, but i haven't tackled exp bias, metering, or manual focus. It's a 5 year old P&S(w/good manual controls), though it was good in it's day, and i've basically been letting it do the work..but slowly experimenting.
As for it being unlevel...well, i do have a crooked eye. I was also sitting on the ground(it was a parade), and being a "rod"..the back-end sits a little higher than the front. Okay..i'm done with my excuses.

Yea I used a remote to click 2 pics a minute with a 30sec shutter. This lightning was massive, but it looks somewhat small at 10mm.
