I'm not looking for insane overclocking, I don't think I NEED new memory. Deff a new mobo, i've tried every mem and volt setting, no dice.

MC has the i790 in, I guess it uses the phoenix bios. It's $30 more. That's cheaper than the $40 more for the i920, $150 more for the mobo, $120 more for 6gb ddr 1600 mem. I'll do the $40 over $310 extra for the i920. I'll box up the mobo and the processor and stick it in the car and see if I really want to spend the extra tomorrow. The 2 boards that MC carries that are decent for the 775 right now are: ud3p: http://www.microcenter.com/single_pr...uct_id=0301543

    and
    evga 790i http://www.microcenter.com/single_pr...uct_id=0294878

They have a p5q but it's not sli.

So i'll head up there after work and return the 750i for the 790i. I've seen good results for the 790i. Unless someone can sell me on a diff 775, ddr2, raid board =)

edit: I just burst my own happy bubble. the 790i doesn't support ddr2. I guess i'll get the ud3p. I'm sure as hell wanting sli... for no reason as I only have 1 vid card and I don't game =p
