Does anybody know what pump this uses and how long they typically last?

well iirc the OEM for this product has their warranty set at 5 years for the product, whereas corsair's is 2 or 3, but it will last a few years at least according to the warranty

You can't really compare dollars with euros, but the H50 retails in Belgium around 65 euros which is around 90 dollars

The hydro can.. depending how its oriented. Its recommended by corsair to put hot air INTO the case (cold air through the rad) to get these temps though.

I've a htpc with a dodgy mobo at high temps (bloody MSI frackin useless engineers) where this would quite possibly kill my board. Also there are components around your socket that could probably do with the air flow.. which you will reduce when the rad is used instead of an air cooler.

So, no, it's not a given.

i for one would not want a water cooled htpc on top of any other electronic, like a receiver

Thanks Leeghoofd for your review.It seems that this product is on par or a bit better with one of the best air coolers.So for me its a win/win situation.The bad thing is that here in Greece its sold for 85 euros which is high,higher than any high-end air cooler.

I ll definatelly buy it when the price falls a bit.

The ideas for a dual rad or even one with more depth are great and im sure would help temps go down even further.

At the same time, how much do you have to pay to make for example a TRUE good? If you include the fans I think this is quite cheap.

@Smartidiot89 ure right mate but when i see it being sold at around 65 euros in other countries its still a big gap.My True Black with the extra fans i got reached almost 80 euros,so there isnt much of a difference.

How do you think this compares to the Cool It Domino ALC WC kit? (Specifically Phenom II's)

Then there is the Dark Knight for $39 which is sightly behind the top dogs. It really depends on how much the user is willing to chip out for cooling devices. I think the prices are okay for this one.

Uhm, I think that, looking at the charts, the H50 performs a few less than usual, also considering the CPU and maybe due to the low ventilation into the case and to the pump that is connected to the CPU_FAN and not to a 12V PSU rail (so the pump does not have a constant 12V voltage).

Did they even read the manual ? also 3.6 for a S775 quad pfffffffff kick a quad close to 4Ghz then you will some heatoutput. Love this phrase : "By itself the processor runs quite hot due to its high FSB frequency, and in fact can be compared fairly close to the output wattage of a Core i7 processor." Tested with 60% fan speed as it kept noise down, what noise ? Screenshot is taken at 2 minutes into the action, did the let things heat up ? if the H50 is already at them temps after 2 minutes...

Is there anything similar, just with radiator with 80mm fan (meaning its also smaller) and if any info how it performs? I'd need something like this, just with slightly smaller radiator for heat dissipation.

I'd really need something like this if it would perform decent enough. The thingie on CPU is small and thats where i don't have space. But i have some of it elsewhere in the case. For a 80mm fan cooler...
