Well to be more precise my temperatures (under linpack, so full load) are as follow:

    Cpu : cores between 70 and 77°C
    Mb : 35°C

My case is a P182 with 7*120mm (scythe Slisptream 1200rpm) and a scythe KamaBay.
Fortunately ambient temperature do not exceed 25/30°C even during summer
    Thank you again

Now i have to figure out how to go down on MCH and VDIMM, but seems that it needs it for that speed of the quad...

General remark to all: I'm very happy with 4GHz so there's no need for me to join the Gigabyte UD3P cheerleading squad.

Mine and so others didn't pass 475FSB and PWM's where crappy and some got it very good on duals but def not a mobo for high fsb on quads.

Agreed it's not the best mobo for high fsb+quad, but it's still possible and has been done a few times - Grnfinger did 500x9 with his Q9650 four months ago, but it did take a lot of tweaking.

I'm happy with 445 fsb, 4GHz is plenty

All I need is to get it stable on 1.216v, play with some GTLs and skews

Mines good up to about 500 but not much more than that, if I recall 507 was the highest it went. It had no problem priming 8 hours+ in the high 480s, probably even the 490s, I was still on air at the time so I didnt get a chance to take it there. It definitely doesnt have anything on the P for high FSB.

well yes, I consider that is one of the best motherboards for overclocking quads but Im not a fanboy.
If hes happy that he achieved his goal with that ASUS motherboard, then good for him, thats all that matters

4GHz passing 1 hour of prime blend, making progress slowly but surely. GTLs are all on auto.

I tried 1.225v and PC would restart after 30mins, so this is 1.2375 vcore, board overvolts very slightly under load.

    Temps very cool at 50C

    your right.
i think people are confused.getting 4Ghz on the maxII and P5Q-deluxe is indeed easy.its the 500fsb and beyond with a quad that those boards cant seem to do.(some have done it but with great great effort).
so the gigabyte cheering should continue Quad+UD3P/R=500fsb heaven

I got all my parts for water cooling in today. Got it going finally after I got over being nervous. Had a small drip but was outside the case, think I have that fixed now. Thanks to the guys that gave me suggestions on what to order. And a big THANK YOU to Sergio for taking the time to help me and send step by step pictures of how to build it.
Priming at 4.5ghz now, not stable yet but temps are looking better than ever.
