I'm running my RAM at 6X and it may have something to say, but if I understand you guys right, this could be related to RAM, CPU or MB/BOIS (or a combination of these). But whatever it is, it is not affecting the stability av my setup
Same here, and im using dominator gts. No reboots or bsods running stress tests with stable settings. The only issue for me is the nightmare with multiplier 21 in Win 7

ok I learned something very very strange. Well I cant get 19x, or 20x multi stable at all but 21x seems to be for the most part I did get 8hrs prime stable with it.

But my vidcard is messed up so I was playing some old school doom2 (zdoom) haha with fraps...

My framerate in that old game with 19x and 20x multi goes down to the single digits sometimes even when superpi runs fun and fast, but not with 21 stays like in the 300's-1000 fps... this board blows so hard wish I wouldnt have got it!

i see that running bclk 200 and ram 1600 or 2000 doesnt cause instability. same with me with 200x21 and 200x8 ram.
but 205 bclk with same multis wont work resulting in bsod sometime.
all time since i plugged xeon i thought that reason of impossibility go higher bclk 200 was in corsair dominator or cpu itself. but i never could imagine that it might be dfi+d0 issue.
well i'm going to check this out running same hardware on other mobo..

    So I got this now

Stable 3.822ghz uncore with 1.28v VTT, cr is actually 2n

Anyone got any tips for getting ram stable at this speed? This is using 1.71vdimm, it errors prime instantly but 1 ram divider lower is only 1520mhz so ya, obviously I want this...

    Happy 4th btw!

    Hi Dami3n,

unclewebb (from xs) has found a fix for this (its worked for me and bunch of others)

    Go here: http://i4memory.com/f80/windows-7-tu...3/index13.html

You can either install a newer version of Real Temp which will kick your multi up to x21 or get an app that will boost your multi to x21. Both work fine.

Well it happened, prime stable for 8hrs go to reset system and hit Start on prime and instant BSOD.

Absolute worst board i've ever owned and by far most expensive. Going to see if I can return it

I had a similar problem with my DK X58-T3eH6 board and multi stuck at 12x - I flashed to new 07/01 Beta BIOS and it seems to have fixed it, now steady at 20x.

Hi Frank. I use multiboost, and works good for me too. My complain is about the need to use software to fix something that is suppose to work perfect out of the box.

I'm getting mixed responses within this thread. What is the actual issue with 1600 memory and this board? Can someone explain this so I can understand what the ISSUE is?

from what i had, it is stable with bclk 200 and 1600 ram and non stable (after-reboot issue) with bclk 205 and 1640 ram
i e it could run linpack 1 hour in one boot, and got bsod after a seconds in other boot, and rising voltages alot higher wont help
and at the third boot it could pass tests again

Batmang, this thing seems pretty mixed. For example, I have a pretty bad chip, mixed with the fact that my board doesn't like Xeon's and then mixed with it doesn't like my RAM so its a diasaster.

You might be ok with it because you have an i7 and maybe it will play ok with your ram

going off what Rioja said, I completely agree. I did 1hr of Linpack then restarted and i hit "Start" on linpack and it BSOD instantly.

Hello my friend, can you tell me what BIOS version you're in? I'm in 0619 with elpida hyper and I never experienced such problem since I got this board, both with i7 920 D0 3847A951 or w3520 3845A935. Looks like I have to ask my friend to hire his Corsair XMS kit to me for further testing...

It has something to do with the DRAM chips I think. Try tweaking the interleave delay / reference voltage values and see if it can improve or not...sometimes some values is not good when leaving it on 'AUTO' because you will never know how far and crazy the value float...

Since it won't hurt you why don't you try them out?~
I've experianced this with my Elpida when I'm in GA-EX58-Extreme struggling to get 20*200/2000 stable and finally got it down by tweaking RTL and channel turnaround settings~
