Your basing VID is meaningless off 2 chips? Look at what the average high vid chip takes to run at said frequency and look at what the low vid chip takes. Sure occasionally youll get a higher vid chip that doesnt need alot of voltage but how often if ever do you see a low vid chip that needs excessive voltage, more then your average vid chip, to run said frequency.

OK, perhaps my word choice wasn't the best. VID isn't meaningless, but high VID should not be equated to poor overclocking potential. If somebody offered me a choice between 1.15 VID and 1.25 VID CPUs, I'd choose the one that overclocked best, which may turn out to be the one with the higher VID.

But chances are that the lower VID model will overclock better. Thats the point.


Anyway, here is a SS of 4.05Ghz @ 1.37v load Prime stable almost 8 hours. I bet I could go a bit lower. How is that voltage for 4Ghz?
