I will try to get some 1920x1200's together tonight...

the air cooler is going away soon I am setting up a water loop on the test bench for the cpu that will accommodate the rad being dumped in a salted ice water bucket

Your rad is going to live in a bucket? Or is that just for testing?

Any reason you chose the Phenom II over the ever-so-popular i7?

i7 is too hot, this (phII 955 + 2 x4890's) is going to be single loop with a TC PA140.3

Only one PA140.3? With dual 4890s, I would've expected more rad. I'll be interested to see how your temps are.

BTW: I noticed you go to RPI and your avatar (assuming that's your frat). I have some friends who go to RPI that I interned with at Cisco one summer. I think the two guys are in SAE and the girl is in a sorority, just don't remember the letters.

4890s run cooler than 280s IIRC, and PII runs ice-cold compared to i7. A 140.3 should be plenty of dissipation when paired with decent fans.

the 140.3 should have close to 1000w of heat dissipation at 10c delta and considering that the PHII + 2x 4890 is less than 600w I think I will be able to punch out some nice results

Ah, I had no clue AMD/ATI was so cool (pun intended).

From my experience so far with the PII 955BE, SNiiPE_DoGG won't have any issues at all with the 140.3 rad. I'm running 2 x Magicool 240 rads and Low Speed Fans, with a 4870X2 in the loop, and temps are so low I thought something was wrong.

Yep these are the fans I got for the rad, its a PA so these should pull some pretty good amount of air through.
