It's quite simple. We bought an excellent board with a Chipset that Intel designed to get the best performance. The only problem that we've got is that this board came with the wrong BIOS.

The BIOS that we've got on our board isn't the type of BIOS you expect to have on a X48 R.O.G. board. The BIOS hides all the fun stuff that can give us the best performance and stability.

Poor GTL handling. Lack of proper tREF handling. To large increments that makes it hard to fine tune your settings. In one word "GARBAGE".

This is the kind of BIOS that you suspect on the low end boards to have some basic tweaking on that board but not a R.O.G board.

The ASUS Engineer told me that he can understand that we want the best performance from what he says a R.O.G. board but there isn't much that he can do because it isn't him who decides what should be done or what shouldn't be done. There's always that guy at ASUS who thinks that this is all a waste of money and valuable time that should be spend on their new boards.

So, you ask why we have to pay so much more?

Well, we paid so much for that board because ASUS is going to need that money when we don't buy there Enthusiast products anymore.

That's what's going to happen and ASUS is going to realize this when it's to late and I hope that the guy who always thinks that everything is a waste of money and valuable time that he is the first one that can look for an other job.
