About the ICH voltage, it helped a lot above 210 bclk, dunno if there is any logical explanation for it, but if it helps it's fine with me.
Well... I do know SATA disks are on the southbridge and those use the PCIe bus now, so it is plausible that if you raised the PCIe frequency then raising the southbridge voltage might somehow help stabilize them. Just a random guess anyway.
