    You didn't read my post. High CPU speed and high Memory speed will never be stable. Not with BIOS 0803 and BIOS 0902 or any previous released BIOS.

    You have to be happy with the your stable clocks that you have right now with BIOS 0803.

    Yeah, I've got a feeling that BIOS 0902 screws up more than just a previous stable OverClock.

    Well.. been reading all these (lot of) posts for the last week, to learn something with you guys, and I did

    I also flashed the bios to 0902, clear CMOS, end re-entered all the settings I had with bios 0803 (because loading saved profiles is not recommended), and everything is stable, just as it was with bios 0803.

    My OC:

    E8600 @ 4,4ghz 1.4v (not a good cpu from what I see in forums)
    OCZ 2x2GB @ 1100 - 5-5-5-15 - 1:1 - PL9 - Moderate - DRAM Static Enabled
    NB 1,49v

    Did you test it with IntelBurnTest or LinX?

    If so can you post a screen shot with at least 20 passes stable?

    I've been wondering about that myself. Asked OCN about it a while ago and nobody knew the answer.

    I've got my stable clocks back with BIOS 0803 with the same settings that I used before flashing it to BIOS 0902.

    What am i supposed to do with my 500 gig WD HDD randomly disappearing ? I am sure it happened right after the 0902 BIOS flash, but no amount flashing back and forth is solving it.The CMOS Clock is also getting reset randomly....Time to replace the CMOS battery with a fresh one?

    PS: When the HDD does get detected, its as good as anything - tested thoroughly in Windows and no bad sectors, nothing.Good speeds too....

    Yo guys,
    does anybody have a link für downloading a sounddriver. I had to deinstall mine.
    Should it be a problem that I am having a converted RF?

    If you think that BIOS 0902 is causing this why don't you just flash it back to BIOS 0803?

    In the left corner you see the download search engine. Just put in your boards name.

    Thank you for the link. But the latest sounddriver (SoundMAX 1988B_Audio_V610016280_zip) causes an application hang by starting vista.

    I had to test the 0902 and so far it looks good for me.

    I did run LinX 30 loop with the following

    E8600 500 4,25GHz / 4x1 Kingston HyperX PC9600@1200MHz 5-5-5-15 tRD 7 Strong / DRAM Static disabled.

    Time and GFlops are close so it means that it´s stable enough.

    Seems to be stable. It's probably only a problem with Quads. They put more strain on the NB.

    They might have changed something in the BIOS for those new CPU's that our Quads don't like.

    Is that the version for the Maximus from the ASUS download page?

    If it's no problem for you to switch CPU's it would be nice to see if you get it stable with your Q9650 at 8 X 465MHz and DDR 1117MHz with tRD 7, AI Clock Twister Moderate and DRAM Static Read Enabled.

    @Alien Grey,
    it is the latest version for the Rampage Formula.
    Am I supposed to chose the one for the Maximus Formula because my board is converted?
    Edit: I just compared the formula and the maximus driver. They are all the same version number 6280. They seem to be crap! I think the sounddriver doesn´t like the Service Pack 2 for Vista. What can I do?

    @Gostleader,
    many friends of mine told me before I bought this board, just never ever try to run a quad, you need a very high nb voltage and still you can not be sure that your system runs stable.

    Put your Corsairs back and run some tests with BIOS 0902 to see if you can run it stable at 8 X 465MHz.

    I would really like to know what the hell is going on with my system and that BIOS.

    Why do you want to run that specific FSB and ram speed at "Moderate" and Static enabled when "Strong" and Static disabled is somewhat better.
