guess the only way to fix it is to get a BE. that way I can still OC the cpu by multi and just set the ram to 1066.
Heres my delima, please read carefully.
My Phenom II 920 has a stock multi of 14. I can go lower on the multi just not higher. Lower means .5-14.
If I leave my cpu at default, I can set the ram to 1066. When I set the ram to 1066 I get a different set of memory timings then if I were to set the memory to 800. AUTO, MANUAL,....ETC dont change the memory timings I get.
With the 13.5 or lower mutli I can hit 1066 when over clocking from 800. My cpu can run at 3.645ghz so I can still overclock the cpu and run at 1066 when overclocking from the 800 setting. Problem is this board only allows me to run with tight memory timings set. The loose memory timings set is only available when memory is set manually to 1066 not overclocked to 1066.
Ive read that someone was able to get the loose memory timings set when they overclocked to 1066. It became available to them after they hit 1066. thats not the case for me. It always stays at the tight timing memory set.
QUESTION IS "WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO GET THE LOOSE TIMING MEMORY SET WHEN OVERCLOCKING MANUALLY FROM 800 TO 1066?"
Some one here has to know. this is really driving me insane.
