sorry for delaying photos, i waiting for permission of ASUS

    But some new info:

I have complete PDF slides for new graphic cards ... dont ask me for publish anything!

    proof:

    1. Spec are : 55nm RV790, 800 SP, 850/3900MHz, Power consuption in 2D is better then 4870, in 3D os higher (no internal improvements RBEs, ROPs, SPs)

    2. Layout change of PCB is not because more SP or higher Performance, but new Power savings profiles ... card is really cool in 2D

    3. You can OC every card to 1 GHz on GPU, and you can to change Voltage too! ! !

    Pics today

    AMD Radeon HD4890 priced at £230 @Novatech.co.uk
Following pictures of the GPU, a look at its specification, and pre-order listings down in New Zealand, we've now been dealt an even bigger hint suggesting that AMD's Radeon HD 4890 is imminent.

Novatech.co.uk, a UK-based etailer, is listing PowerColor's Radeon HD 4890 1GB with a price tag of £229.99. That's around £50 more than PowerColor's Radeon HD 4870 1GB, and pretty much what we were expecting in terms of pricing.

What's interesting is that Novatech claims to have 100 of the cards arriving tomorrow, presumably in the hope of fulfilling orders sooner rather than later.

However, we've been expecting the card to arrive sometime in April, so we're putting this down as an error on Novatech's part, for now. Either way, AMD's Radeon HD 4890 is just around the corner, and it's very likely to be priced around the £230 mark.

about time, since you can tweak so much on your mobo and nothing on your gfx card. Also, voltage options are incomplet with no vram voltage adjustment.

    More proof please...Just b/c it says 800 shaders / 40 Tmus doesn't mean anything.

At 1Ghz, the HD4890 seems to have almost the same performance as a HD4850X2.

If every card reaches 1Ghz, I'll get one for sure. I wonder how it'll behave with an Accelero S1 + 2*120mm fans. AFAIK, there's no better GPU air-cooling solution to date.

I guess an oced 4890 should be pretty close to GTX285, however no one can tell yet

@ default speeds it's slower for sure.
If all cards overclock like crazy, it should have about the same speed.

maybe should behave in the same way as Nvidia
let partners ship the OC versions first, only spread reviews with OC versions, and half a month later ship the standard hyped up product

this is interesting... Because AMD is shipping a card that may easily clock 150mhz higher than stock, yet they are not pricing it accordingly in an effort to be ultra competetive. the gtx275 is gonna have to be a 285in reality since its all but confirmed that this card OCed to 1000mhz beats a gtx 280 @ high res.

Well, for once I would like to believe OBR
But so far everyone else is hinting 09/04 as a launch date.

Stock is already in UK and quantities are good, very good according to Gibbo from NovaTech. Also OCuk hints cards are in stock, just waiting for NDA lift.

    Binoculars at the ready !! --> http://www.amd.com/us-en/ <--

ATI could be trying to one up the launch on Nvidia as it really is unexpected, but there is truth to OBR's statements seeing as Novatech is receiving a batch of 100 cards very soon and usually, when the cards hit the shelves, the numbers hit the web

But I'd still wait for official launch, whenever the heck it is now.
