the matrix series doesnt need voltmodding, it has software voltage control via an asus utility (not a hack, a feature)

He's at work now. But as soon he can get home he will start the tests. Too bad his home is on the other side of the world and his benches will come to light possibly after the official release. but I'm shure he will do his best

    for comparison a i7 940 + 4870 1gig scores only X4124

    and a GTX 280 with a 3ghz q9450 (similar CPU score) scores only X4822 http://service.futuremark.com/result...eResultType=19

this card will be a beast

As many times as rumors have been spun about RV790, I would only trust an ORB link.

in all fairness they should sell a few thousand of these before the release at 2x the price, cause theres gotta be some people who will pay a premium just to say they were the first

if you go into the links and to the original forum they have a few more benchmarks

    clocks/ram: gpu score

    stock 850/975: 4386
    925/1025: 4906
    950/1075: 5068
    1000/1125: 5334

cpu score was ~10500 for all tests except the last where it was 11373. im not sure if that scaling is way too fast for the small increases in mhz

    I'd go with 2 4890s XFired, rather than 1 4890X2.

My 2 HD4870's XFrd could OC to 880/1100 and blew away a single HD4870X2 since it could only do 862/1025.

Indeed, we should. Though, for some reason I thought that this thursday was the 9th, until my calender burst my bubble.
