They just arrived fresh from their washington office.

I love my CPC 1/2'' quick disconnects. have you got any of those laying around to test?
I'm going to be solely using these as a drain-fillport.
Asus P6T, I7-920, 6gb ocz xmp, 4890, Raid 0-1 Terabyte, full watercooled - Triple Loop 5 radiators
Glad I kept those out of my loop. Was planning on using them at first but once I looked at it closely I put them in a box and kept them there. Could be useful as drain and fill ports but too much of a flow killer for anything else.
GPM on the left, l/min on the right.
Nice quick test thereMirrors my findings too, which makes me feel good

Should be GPM.
I have the Koolance VL3, the CPC for 3/8" ID (APC series?) and the 1/2" CPC NS6 series lying here. The Koolance are noticeably better than the 3/8" CPCs, but the 1/2" CPCs have a completely different construction, and I haven't tested those yet.
I'm gonna publish results flow for all of them once I get my proper rotameter, I currently have a Digmesa FHKUC but I noticed that the absolute value is not correct, and I'm not sure whether the relative values are correct either.
Thanks for testing!
I hope you get a chance to compare them to some CPC QDs, I'd love to see a comparison.
Let's see how's first, you or Nickel020.![]()
XSPX RX360 - Nanofluid - Laing DDC/MCP355 Tops - 120 vs. 140 radiator - Temps in relation to Flowrates - EK Supreme orientation on i7 - Stacked Radiators - Triple-Radiator roundup - Waterblocks on i7 - Triple DDR3 Roundup - OCZ Hydroflow i7 mod - EVGA Classified MB blocks - Huge Radiators - Rampage II Extreme MB blocks - Flowmeters
If anyone is going to do a full comparison they should toss the VL4's into the running too![]()
So do I, and I won't be rushed
I can tell you tha using the FHKUC I measured 250 l/h for the Koolance and and 200 l/h for the CPC 3/8". I use the Koolance with a female-to-female G1/4 adapter so I can use any barb.
I don't trust the FHKUC fully though, I did some manual testing with a stopwatch and I found that while it showed a flowrate of about 178l/h I actually was getting more than 200 l/h (different pump and loop setup for this test). That's why I ordered a rotameter (swiss made) and when I get that and find some time I'll do a 1/2" tubing comparison with thebig NS6 CPCs.
Those are the 3/8" ID right?
Yes, they're a little more restrictive than 3/8" tubing though of course due to the shutoff mechanism.
Also, nothing beats the CPC NS6 1/2" shutoff mechanism, no water coming out at all when you open them![]()

Also keep in mind... if you'rel ooking for ultimate flowrate then these are the "mid-range"
Here's a list of all our shut-off valves and their flow-through ID
Dean i really wish you guys would make the VL4 with G1/4 threads so i can retire my VL3's.

I don't understand that either. Why make them with different compression fittings and barbs attached to them, but not with a female G1/4 thread. That's the single biggest complain about the CPCs (not being able to use any barb you want) and it would be so easy to fix it for Koolance![]()
I vote for G1/4 female-threaded QDs (VL4) as well.![]()
VL4s in 3/8 ID 5/8 OD would be nice as well![]()
