    So BIOS 1303 is stable and recommended? I am still on 1003 because 1206 sucked.

    Hey guys can I ask you how i can find the lowest possible QPI/DRAM Voltage? 1.35V is the max but with what kinda programs, tests I can test specific for the QPI stuff???

    Any clue why I set QPI/Dram voltage to 1.35 on bios and on TurboV app shows 1.375 ? if I set 1 notch lower on bios it shows the correct number on TurboV

    LinX is a good way, I know when I test my system with LinX and if my QPI voltage is too low then it will give me error most of the time and if up it a notch in turbo v it will pass just fine, but if it's way too low it will BSOD.

    Ya... except when you go under heavy load like LinX and the multiplier drops to 20x and the system crashes shortly thereafter

    Nice, I'm back from a vacation wanting to try bios 1206 and suddenly 1306 is already released. Sweet!!!! Will give it a try tomorrow and will report back with some results.

    Still want to try and get a OC profile 2 with a HT+OC setting saved. And want to check what max OC I can reach with HT disabled. What would you guys prefer for an OC with HT disabled:

    1) Higher CPU speed;
    2) Slightly lower CPU speed (-200Mhz over option 1) but higher RAM speed (+100Mhz over option 1).

    What's the diference between using the last bios that gives us the 21x multi option vs using the Speed Steep like i'm using here:

    And any one tried flashing the V1 bios into a V2 board go get the 21x option running ?

    Thanks.

    Any reason why the gigabyte boards are so popular on this forum? What is the deal with this 21x multiplier option? Trying to decide between asus and gigabyte.

    Im running a p6t watercooled system. I set CPU voltage to 1.6 PLL@1.96 QPI@1.45, everything else is at stock or auto settings.

    FYI, the 22x multi is nothing special, it should have worked since the boards were launched last year, but didnt because of some problem in the bios kernels apparently...
    it only works if 3 cores are idle or sleeping, so its only useful for superpi or other apps that run single threadded.

    Omg with 1.6vCore i think u can cook everything with the heat comes out of the CPU. The PPL@1.96v and QPI@1.45v is your 24/7 stable parameters?

    BTW there is no official topic for the regular P6T?

    no you are wrong....if you set the cpu ratio at 21x inside the bios it will remain 21x always....Now I am running 180x20 I use the cpu ratio @21x only for benchmarks.....
    If you have the blue screen of death you should increase the cpu vcore

    +1

    These volts seems way too high for everyday use even with water cooling.

    Bios 1303 is tha bomb!!!! They finally solved the problem that I couldn't start EZ Flash and OC Profile program with RAID enabled. They fixed the multi with the ability to enable 21x. Also fixed the possibility to add a name to both the pre-defined OC profiles in the CMOS. And fortunately my current OC is still working on this bios.

    Next step is to try and lower the volts as far as possible. And try to get a stable OC with HT enabled. I already tried to get such an OC but wouldn't get stable with HT enabled @ 4Ghz and vcore 1.5v (CPU-z). Getting a restart immediately after stressing with Prime. Hope this new bios slightly helps but I don't expect to much from it. Therefore should I increase QPI instead of vcore?

    Settings used:
    BCLK = 200
    MP = 20x
    QPI = 3600
    Uncore = 3200

    vCPU = 1.58v
    PLL = 1.88v
    QPI = 1.35v
    DRAM = 1.64v
    DRAM speed = 1200
    Timings = 8-8-8-20-1T
    HT = ON

    Every other volt setting on AUTO.

    lol i need 1.42500 in my bios to get my 920 stable at 200*21 with HT off.

    Funny fact is when I enable HT my temps go up about 10°C but my voltage stays the same... I though HT = more Vcore?
