Oh noes! I can't tighten it down with all my might.....
Every block I have owned didn't have them. My Aqua Computer block doesn't.

In the product description for the 295 block it states that special distance rings prevent over-tightening in the VRM-area. So it sounds like standoffs are included.

Can anyone confirm if the block comes with a backplate and if the block works with 1/2" ID 3/4" OD Bitspower/Feser Compressions?

Backplate is sold seperately and it won't work with 1/2" ID Feser compressions, it's not even close. It does work with the 45° Feser 1/2" compressions just fine though, I have it lying here in front of me

Very trick block and you just can't beat German millwork and Engineering IMO.

And yes, I got one for 775 and 1366 with mounting kit. Here's a question, and isn't clear in the directions. Does the backplate mount with the "WATERCOOL" lettering facing away from the MB, or pointing toward the MB with a 1366? Not sure it makes any difference, but I always like to get it right per the instructions is possible.

    andyc
    afaik away form mb

does the 1366 backplate come with those red standoffs so the backplate is flat on the motherboard backplate?

how is the mounting mechanism? it looks great on the pics!

will post some results once i get my rig done, i can't do comparisons between other blocks but with the aquaero i will be able to measure flow and water/core delta

Thats a good thing! As the phobya block proved with its 1mm base, heat is transferred much quicker with a thin base.

Wow thats a fantastic looking block. Too bad it doesn't use the 1/2" compression fittings. I would've considered this block for my i7 build coming up. I'm still thinking of either the koolance 350 or dtek v2 though. Still would like to see the results of the block.

    neither does the Dtek

i don't see the problem in not having compression fittings, 7/16" tubing on thick 1/2" fittings is just as secure as the ocmpression fittings are
