    I guess it is a complete BIOS module rewritten.

    I confirm, it is module 1B rewritten completely and longer in 803 and 4 bytes in SMBIOS module
    This BIOS is as good as BIOS 0701. I can run my Q9450@3.72GHz for 3.5 hours Prime95+UT2004 stable. I'm aiming for over 6 hours.

    I updated (downgraded because all higher versions are for X58 and I don't know if that is good) the Intel Chipset Drivers to version 9.0.0.1011 WHQL, updated DirectX 9.0C to the latest version November 2008 (I don't know if this was already done) and installed the latest NVIDIA driver 182.06 WHQL.

    I know when i upgraded to the latest INF something went screwy with my pci/pci-e on the board, only way i found it was that my physx card was no longer recognized... Took a reformat for me to find out that the new drivers were the issue though....

    Hey guys couple of questons. So far I am running my board with the specs in sig. So I have things running 8x465 right now. I have choosen the 266 strap for my ram and I am trying to figure out how I can run a 1:1 ratio. In CPU-z its shows a 4:5 ratio. Will I even be able to run 1:1? I am also thinking of getting a 2x2gb set instead of 4x1gb, any suggestions? I have had G. Skill in the past and found it to be pretty good. Overall I am pretty happy with things, but I wont try much higher until I get my watercooling setup. Lastly, are there any worth while cooling mods to be done to this board? Like replacing all the thermal paste and such.

    ASUS Rampage Formula BIOS 0803 is now official and can be downloaded from the Official ASUS Download Page.

    The DRAM Clock Fine Delays are back at 4-2-4-2 with DRAM CLK Skew Channel A/B set at AUTO.

    Here's a screen shot with tREF at 4352T. The GFlops are a little higher, with tREF 4352T for 1117MHz than with tREF at 3120T set by the BIOS, as expected.

    7800/(1000/DRAM)

    Example: 800MHz -> 7800/(1000/400MHz)=3120 -> 3120T

    7800/(1000/554)=4321 -> 4321T is the tREF that you can use for 1108MHz

    I didn't, it's MemSet Version 4. I used Bar_Edit to change the tREF timing and MemSet to verify that the timing is right.

    OK thanks, now one question more I tryed to figure out what registers to change, but a lof of different registers change in bar_edit when you change tref timing with memset, is there anywhere written what register is for what?

    I've got this from mikeyakame.

    The registers you need to change are: FED14260 08 and FED14660 08

    See the screen shots. It's for changing tREF from 3120T for 800MHz to 4352T for 1117MHz.

    To verify that tREF is correct you can use MemSet or Everest Ultimate Edition.

    OK, this bar_edit is great, it lets you set all timings as well. for example with different clock fine delays on each hardreboot/powerup, you can set them to be always the same with this to bad that outside what mikeyakame posted, i have no clue what everything is but its way then enough for me already that it fixes that fine delays problem and adds compleatly custom tref values.

    tRTP with this bios is wrong (0803) it is set to 5 although in bios it is 3 (Read to PRE time).
    I think it is wrong a long time ago ...
    Did anyone noticed that?

    Is there a way to permanently set tREF correctly?

    And what should my tREF be with 4.05ghz 475x8.5 DDR2 1146 (570mhz) 4:5

    I got 4446T for the tREF hopefully thats right.

    Why set tRef to that of the proposed and not 16383T which gives the most bandwidth (only with 0308 bios and earlier though)?

    It's close it should be 4470T.

    (7.8 x 1000) / (1000/573)=4469.4
    or
    (7800) / (1.7452)=4469.4 -> 4470T

    Use BAR_Edit V3.0 and change the registers to CF117600. When you have done it right you should see 4470T as tREF in MemSet V4.0 or EVEREST Ultimate Edition.
