Thanks! Tongiht after work I will start testing this. I am sure I got my vcore set to about 1 or 2 notches of where I need to be. The RAM settings are going to be the hardest for me to set, on the P5Q I could run 460FSB/1150mhz/1.94v/PL8/Moderate Twister and get much better benchmark/latency results in everest then what I am getting so far with this board.

    advanced clock control

Looking a several guys palate, I noticed the advanced clock control was set to 1000/1000/0/50. I am trying to get my 9550 to 4.25ghz. Will this help and what exactly does this do? This will be my 24/7 oc. Are you guys just running these clocks for benching or are they 24/7 safe?

for 4.25ghz u shouldnt have use 1000/1000/0/50 maybe 800/800/0/50 but 700/700/0/0 should work fine my cpu like 700/800/0/0 at slower speed like 4.25 to 4.35ghz. do u have a EO, it should do 4.25ghz pretty easy with good 24/7 voltages

Thanks for responding. Yes its an EO. It is set to 800/900/0/0 atm. I guess thats default , haven't adjusted it. just set it to 800/800/0/0 to see what happens. This is my first quad, never had to mess with most of these voltages before. On my e8400 and old mobo I ran all voltages normal/stock except the vcore. Have heard of people burning up boards due to hi voltages oc'ing a quad so kinda afraid to bump them up too hi. current volatages are.. 471x8.5 1.33125 vcore (no llc) or 1.256 LLC enabled. vtt 1.20, mch 1.28, cpu reference .785, mch reference .80, 333strap 240b 1130mhz Prime blend stable. What is considered safe for vtt, mch, cpu ref and mch ref.voltages? No water cooling just air. Thanks

This week I've playing with a GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P with an e8400 (E0), Freezer 7 Pro and 4 1GB Patriot DDR2 800 RAM. Unbelievably easy build. Overclocking is so easy a caveman could do it (no disrespect to you cavemen out there!) With literally one button push on Easytune 6 I had 4.05 (stock speed was 3.0). With no other changes I pushed up the FSB to achieve 4.3 in 15 minutes that is OCCT stable. Got it up to 4.635 long enough to run a 10.172 Superpi 1.5 mod.

for safe voltage just watch the temps, if its cool it will be fine, and with air it will get too hot before u really get into the high voltages take to stay under 1.5vcore and vtt,
try getting the vtt closer to the vcore. maybe 1.3v and 0.871v cpu ref. voltage & mch 0.871v, should help lower the vcore a little, keep running it with out llc if u can, llc can be a headache better to leave it disable if u can

Any fsb/multi or voltage change other than these settings causes it to reboot back to defaults for me...

Any idea's? I know this chip'll do 4.0 at 1.39 I believe, and I know the ram is tested good. I just have a feeling there's a setting in the bio's that's off and causing it to go fubar on me

Thanks, I wonder if it has the same effect on E0 quads? Only one way to find out

Any idea's? I know this chip'll do 4.0 at 1.39 I believe, and I know the ram is tested good. I just have a feeling there's a setting in the bio's that's off and causing it to go fubar on me

I found this thread, but it is huge thread dealing with all sorts of issues, but I only have a problem with resuming from sleep / S3.

I have a thread going at AnandTech, where I read the great EP45-UD3P review that made me buy the board, that deals just with resume from sleep / S3 problems, if you have similar problems or solutions I'd appreciate your help:

I have a feeling there's an option I'm missing in the bio's somewhere...

I assumed the 'boost' functions in ET6 were crap (says it'll oc to 4.5 w/ vcore at like 1.6 lol), guess I'll try out the first level though

anniku989, try those again but disable the " DDR Write Training" and raise "tRFC" to something like 58. It is easy to change after boot w/memset.

Ive never used it but I figured if it did boot it would atleast give you some figures to work with. If you think theres an option your missing try loading optimized defaults to clear everything then reenter the other settings.
