    Paraflow antec 1200 change over

So currently this is my set up (ignore the dust)

Antec 1200 case with MCR320 push/pull in the bays with two HDDs in the top
    (crappy pic with flash)

    MCR320

    HDDs

    View from behind

Side view no flash with panel on

Side view no flash with panel off

Side view flash with panel off. Ok there's some stuff that I need to do as far as cable management as you can see but I need to extend the cables first before I can do that I need some stuff first before I can do that

So basically the plan is to cut out holes for a MCR320 on either side of the front of the case to make it into a paraflow system like so (complements of someone from this forum)

Along with that I'm going to be mounting two, perhaps three, reservoirs inside the case on the back of the bays (because air won't need to flow in from the front any more) and try and fit in a standard size DVD drive in the top. It'll be interesting, wish me luck.

Oh and I put in an internal bluetooth dongle and got a cell's bluetooth headset to work with my computer so I can use the headset for online games =)

Ha yeah me too. I stopped by the store on the way home and picked up some dremel discs to cut the metal. I'll get a chance to start maybe tomorrow but most likely Thursday in woodtech

    Ok just a small update

I cut most of the drive bay out except the top 3 so that I can have my 2HDDs and optical drive. here's what it came out like

Here's what the radiator looks like just sitting in there

Now to do the same thing to the other side and figure out a way to mount it on there...

Nice! Figured that you can also take a look at this. It's a 200mm rad for the 1200 only, I think its pretty cool

That's exactly why I don't want to do it... I mean I guess unless I used all aluminum blocks for my NB, SB, and Mosfet

    UPDATE

Alright so here's a front view with the two radiators in place and the DVD drive in the top

View from the back with my 400MM reservoir and pump in view

    And here's the two sides

The side with the window closes fine but the other one doesn't really shut right now. I still need to trim it a bit. Any way hopefully next update I'll have the HDD bay modded so that it will fit above the radiators and bellow the DVD drive. Then I just need to cut out the vents on either side of the case and put it all back together. Oh and I have a screen that I'm going to put in the front as well and I should get some pics of that.

    You are banished.........

I can't believe you suggested an alumin radiator.

I'm also appalled that Antec thought that was a good idea in ANY way shape or form.

Petra did this on his quicky mod for CES. http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...&highlight=ces

IT came out real good and this looks like it will come out real well also. cant wait to see how it turns out.

Yeah that's where I got the idea from. I hope it'll turn out well. i'm sort of reluctant to cut the side panels I'm afraid to mess them up. I guess just cut smaller then I need to... I think I'm going to either put mesh over the holes or just buy two 120x3 fan grills to go over them and make it easy on my self. We'll see I guess

    UPDATE

I cut down the drive adapter and fit my two HDDs. Now I have a DVD drive, two HDDs, and two MCR320 radiators inside the drive cadge.

    View from the back

Here's my screen that's going to go in front of the HDDs and it fits perfectly =)

Here's one side of the paraflow setup cut out I just need to smooth it out and add some kind of mesh or grill

    More updates tomorrow hopefully

I vote Fangrills over those grizzly cuts. :P JK there not bad but the grill might prevent ur poor little dog or cat from getting chopped up in the fans. This grille might look good. or use some of that modders mesh i know ur gona need for your front bay covers.

Good job so far. I really like the idea of squeezing two MCR320s in the front of a 1200.

In your original pictures the tubing on your pump was not pushed far enough on.

I'll be amazed if you don't end up needing elbow fittings for those rads. I really don't see you getting tubing in there without major kinking.

Oh believe me, those aren't going anywhere. I'm using 3/8" tubing on 1/2" barbs. I had to stick it in boiling water to melt it so i could get it on and to get it off I practically needed to cut it. I'll try to get it on farther next time but I only have a few second window to get it on before the tubing cools so much that I can't even fit it over. I'll work on it more soon I just can't right now. I'm juggling school in the mornings and then working our school musical all night so I have no time till we close Saturday. i'm glad you guys like it so far though =)

I don't have any picture updates because they weren't huge improvements but I'll just tell you what I did.

I got rid if the plastic behind the mesh on the side panel so now it's just mesh. Looks so much better and will help with airflow

I figured out that my MCR220 can fit on the back of the case flush if I cut two holes for the barbs to fit through the back. I'll end up doing that for my 3rd loop. It practically doesn't stick out at all, hardly enough to call it external.

My friend had this awesome idea to open up my PSU and cut the side off that's towards the back of the case and cut a hole the case tray. Then I can run my cables through my PSU and directly behind the mobo without ever seeing them and it's turning out amazingly.

I can work on it tomorrow for several hours so I'll get some pics up then I think.

I know haha. First thing that went through my head was YES!!! I don't need to work on my speech! Second thing was CRAP! I can't work on my computer... Oh well I'll just continue Monday. I'll show you how that mod came out for my PSU too next class. Basically I just moved the fan from inside the PSU to the top so that the wires could pass through without getting in the way. I ran out of time though so I didn't get a chance to cut the hole in the actual case for the wires to go through but that will only take a few minutes. Oh and good news, I can get both side panels on now =) Just had to loosen up the bolts holding down the one radiator and push it farther inside the case.
