That's pretty extreme... It might have even been cheaper for you to dump the existing CPU and buy a new pair than to spend that much time and energy getting the second one!
On the other hand, I do understand the desire to get the right part for the job, I'm quite particular about certain things myself, so if you felt it was worth all that effort, then that's all that matters. I'm certain that chip will work harder for you because it knows you care...
