According to RGONE/Praz on DFIClub forums it's normal not that I have noticed such noise since 2x 120x38mm scythe ultra kaze 2000rpm push/pull fans are on my TRUE120 heatsink and I have 120x25mm 81cfm fan over NB heatsink area

I haven't heard it on my board either. But the buzzing or whining sound is the same as users have experienced on other boards and video cards. However, the crackling sound someone has posted about if it was me I would be shipping that board for RMA.

Put a quad core with 1.7v in an asus p5b or p5k deluxe and try to hit 4 ghz, prime, and you will hear 10x as much noise as this board.

to someone who used something that didn't whine, you may not be used to it, but this board doesn't whine at all compared to my old rig.

All we can suggest if you own the board is to check the download page periodically to see what is available.
