coop, thanks.justlearnin,i use f4 because i had issues with f7,f8a and f6.the usb keyboard support is enabled by default on f4,and f5.but on f7,f8a they are off by default and they seem to have been moved to the bottom of the bios screen.also f8a didnt play well with ET6.

I am 70 passes IBT stable and >12h OCCT Mix stable with F5 so it's not RAM for me. F6 just seems to have trouble remembering and applying the right settings at boot sometimes. It looks as if it tries to boot with too low PL to me.

Hello, first: nice thread, thanks for starting it.

I'm planning on upgrading to an UD3 mobo. but don't know what to do with RAM? what do you recommend? I currently have 2xCrucial ballistix 1GB DDR2 PC2-8500 5-5-5-15.

should I go for 4x1GB, 2x2GB or 2x4GB, 4x2GB? is there any difference in performance?

    many thanks

So, does this mean the Rev 1.0 boards are more stable (vCore stable)?

Are all Rev 1.0 boards made in Taiwan?

Nope. That doesn't mean nothing really. It can be related to 'n' factors.

Both boards clock the same. Both boards have the same stability.

@bobreece, I don't have same cpu as you but I ran @500 last night for 4hrs. I think xbiusx jinxed me after my last post. I was unable to get it to run past an hour or so with 1.3v mch. I had to up it to 1.34v and vcore to the settings below. After 4hrs I shut it off to try lower vcore but to no avail. Re-doing now for a longer time with the settings below. At least maybe these ref. will help get you started. Others have posted alot of info that should be helpful too that have your same cpu.

I think you have the same bug that i have. When you set the VTT in bios to 1.32, when you load ET6 it shows only 1.3, isn`t? And if you restart and see in bios it will be 1.3 again...

But, your settings are verry good ot 9x500, today i tested 495x8.5 but no success, i really don`t know how can i isolate the possibles issues. First i can make the cpu stable, but when i run test that involve RAM its fails within few minutes, and i`m note sure if the problem is my timmings, the voltages... i know my ram is ok, i ran memtest (with system not overclocked, everything at stock) and the memory is ok... i`m lost

    @stingush, 675x7, that's awsome.
@xbuisx, bios F6. I never noticed that. I had to go back to the laboratory today as my numbers listed above let me down. I have to have MCH ref @ .763. Will be 4hrs in 30 min. from ......now.

FWIW, what made me able to run today was lowering my CPU Clock Drive to 700 in the Advanced Clock Control section.

@xbuisx and coop,my board does the same thing with vmch at 1.32 in bios then when you open ET6 it shows 1.30.when it first happened i thought i was crazy and just remembered what i actually put in the bios.well i resolved the issue by not using 1.32 vmch anymore.but i dont think it will hurt anything.

    coop; try this
go into bios and set your VTT to 1.2
    set your cpu-ref to .76
set your mch ref to .76
then change your Vtt to around 1.37
your mch ref and cpu ref will automatically change when you change the VTT. I know NOTHING about your particular cpu. But with my cpu and the ud3p this really seems to help out a LOT with getting stable, and it wont take but a minute to try, even if it dont work. My vtt seems to like to be just a little below Vcore.

i seem to be having a problem with ET6 i think. the CPU reference i set in bios is 0.848v, but i boot into windows, ET6 shows it as the default 0.760v. which voltage reading is correct? also, anything above 340fsb, the "smart" tab in ET6 for the CPU fan speed control is useless because it shows RMP as zero and the speed is not adjustable. is this a bug for the software or do i need to update the bios? i'm currently on UD3R F5 bios. are there any improvements for stability in F4 or F6 bios?

Bios is right and in a way ET6 is right too. The value in BIOS remains and ET6 is just saying you are using the default value (1.2vtt = 0.760).

If you are using different values from the default 0.760 at 1.20vtt ET6 will show that as 0.785 for example.

ET6 shows percentages of some voltages set in the BIOS rather than the actual BIOS voltage settings. See here: http://forums.tweaktown.com/f69/how-...asytune-29746/

ah ok so ET shows the ref values as percent. then for simplicity sake, if i want to just read the literal value of it, i should just go by the numbers manually set int the BIOS right?

and also, how about the problem for the CPU fan speed adjustment? anything over 440fsb and i can't control the fan in ET6. how do i fix this? does this mean my OC is not stable?
