im trying to recall how i set my tj-07 up.
LOL..
i remember it had less wires tho. Maybe its the murdermod sleeving making it look like clutter.
And yes my board was inverted when i had my TJ-07.
Ahhh i miss that case.

nice!
i understand completly - but like you have stated before...madness...taking it apart so many times....so i thought...why not one add'l thing to add to the list..![]()
def think about ninja academy for the next one
hey 2 questions:
first re the bitspower sli fitting you referenced in my build...i could not locate a dual card spacing version...
second & most important
w/ the dogs you have in the house (this is hair related) what are you using in the way of a filter on the rad? (in this or other builds)
i can not seem to locate 1/4" carbon filter sheets - i was able to pick up a washable home air filter (its almost like .5 inches thinck - no dice) from home depot. on top of that...it is blue....yuck...
Coming along really nicely Rocky.
Man, that PSU really is a beast eh. Perhaps we need to make a new midplate for such long PSUs with the wire management hole further forward... that way you could have had the PSU under the motherboard and the PCI-E cables could have gone up the back and over the top to the video cards. Although that might interfere with the lines of your upper hose...
In any event, you're doing a stellar job.![]()
i'm just curious as to what you think of the two 285's, i'm contemplating getting one instead of a 4870x2
It is a great case and yes, the sleeving does add more wires!
MY system is on top of my desk and my dogs do not go in that room.
Check these for the fittings

Thanks Charles! Yes, a hole further forward would have helped. I guess I am doing my part for the M|M R&D department!
I have 2x280's but in SLI they still beat out a 4870x2. However, unless you use a 30" display or 25x16 resolution, they are overkill.

Agreed!

Okay Off Topic, but I wanted to report back on my scotch experience from last night.
I really wasn't crazy about it, but I've never been a big fan of whiskeys. I'm glad I didn't use just regular soda water, I had to mask it a lot with the Coke. I guess I'm not that much of a gentleman after all.
I do like Jagermeister mixed with Red Bull, though. I can drink that stuff for hours. Anything with Vodka. And a nice red wine. So that's gentleman enough for me.
But of course now that I've bought the scotch, I have to drink it all. So who knows, perhaps I'll acquire a taste before the bottle is empty and I'll catch myself craving more. Although for now it's highly unlikely.
Cheers everyone!![]()

I need some input on this idea. I was trying to find an interesting and appealing way to drain my system. This is what I came up with....
Will this work?
I could use an Aqua shut off valve but it just does not look good.

Thanks BA, I will know tomorrow for sure. You of all people know how much fun it is to get the tubing on, and I have had enough of that! I am happy to report that all of the tubing runs are finished and man are my fingers sore and burned.
I spent all day working on the "Madness" and it is amazing how little it appears I accomplished. Here are a few pics.........
The run from the pump to the CPU is as short as I could possibly manage...for BA and Headala!
Obviously I chose to use the 45 out of the Res. The rotary 90 actually worke better but I didn't like the look nor the restriction it might cause....
The garage with my new drain, thanks BP.......
Another blatant act of piracy on my part......Thanks BA, but I may modify it a bit, not quite happy with the look just yet.......not to mention removing the unsightly fingerprints!
This Rad is big!
A couple of points; the pad under the pump and the hardware are temporary and so is the white molex on the pump. Please excuse the all the wires hanging around. I connected the five SATA cables as they are behind the Res and I didn't want to keep pulling it out.
I could have gone ahead and run the leak test but Mr. Dewars started calling me, so I will perform that task tomorrow. Once that is done I will install the HDD cage, Blu-Ray, Aquaero and the lighting. I may also add an Aqua Multiswitch LT to control the lighting.
I started this build on January the 8th and feels like it has taken six months to get to this point! However, since this is my first build of this type I am pretty happy with it, I just hope it boots!
LMK what you think. I truly appreciate all of the advice, feedback and suggestions that many of you have offered. Please don't stop now!

progress looks fantastic...that rad JUST fits in there...like a glove...looks very NICE! - i like the flow of wires on the rear of the mb tray
one suggestion...i think that your current SATA's are red...are they not?
with as black as this build is & there is no other red in existance anywhere else...maybe get some black ones![]()
Looking great seeker!
did your pump top come with that hole built into it or is that a custom job ?

Thanks! Yes, the SATA's are red and they only show through when I over expose. They will not be seen once everything is finished. However, great point and I will not make this mistake again!
Thanks Jokester! This is the EK Rev 2 pump top, it is stock.

This is coming along very nicely, it is clean and well thought out. I do like the loop from the cpu to the vid card more each time I see it, it flows well.
I think that NaeKuh's advice about the QC for a drain would look fine if you used the stubby female out of a rotary 45. Or you could run the tube to the rear of the case and use a bulk-head fitting to put a QC on the back.
Or we have another scotch and think about it some more.![]()

Wow Rocky.. I have to say that your radiator is HUGE. The size really looks fitting for the TJ07 and should prove to be a worthy asset in your water cooling system.
Great progress though, it looks like you've put a lot of work into getting it just right. It's more time consuming that most imagine. I just hope you don't have sleepless night figuring out where you're going to place your pump like I did.
Looking at the drain plug idea, I can't see how it would be an easy drain process. Given the construction of the D5 top, I would imagine you will have to rock your case back and forth a lot in order to drain your radiator. I know it isn't as sexy of an otpion, but a regular T fitting attached to the lower barb of the radiator would drain the system like a champ and since it is in the lower chamber would basically be out of sight. Just a thought.
