Sorry for the minor thread necro (1 month), but I have been searching for a good backplate to use with an EK Supreme on a 1366 board (DFI LP UT X58).

I noticed that mounting the ek block, the bolts come through the board and then the springs go down on top of the bolts - tightened with a nut. Pictured here

The likely candidates for backplates seem to be:
type 1
http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/lga13sobbowi.html (no name)
http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/thax13bo.html (thermalright)
http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/thlgboreboxb.html (thermalright)
or type 2
http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/swapforincoi.html (the swiftech bracket talked about in this thread)

It seems to me that the type 1 backplates all have the screws going in to the plate rather than bolts coming out. The Swiftech bracket I am not sure on.

If anyone has advice on what to use for a 1366 backplate with an EK Supreme, I would appreciate it.

Thanks,
