Was a fun run with the Core I7 975. Crazy chip. The most impressive to me was our first boot at 0.975V and 4.6GHZ @ ~ 10C into Windows.
Not sure if we will see a clock for clock improvement from C0 to D0 in terms of efficiency,like it was from B0 to C0.
There is definetly more room in that CPU - Charles made sure to keep clocks within the same range of other top benching Core I7s. I have a C0 at the moment that can match the clocks we benched at. Kingpins C0 ran his a tiny bit higher.
@ Eva - we didn't run Windows 7 this time - but next run with C0 will be Win7
@ Sampsa - nice tease on the AM3 - that looks very promising especially for GT1 - any improvement there? BTW I heard a rumor that Team Finnland owns a CPU that can match these D0 clocks - doubt it will take to June to see the backups.
