Should i be proud of this?

well im in the process of RMA of some dead GSkill PC8000 that i bought, so i got bored and tightened the timings on my current ram: 2X1Gb Corsair PC6400 800Mhz.

    check this out

good, bad, average? what can i do to improve. Its all Prime95 stable 2hours. CPU was Prime95 overclocked stable 8hrs before i touched the ram.

No offence mate but you can buy ram that has stock speed/timings 800MHz 4-4-4-10. If you get 3-3-3-8 from this at 800MHz or manage to get 5-5-5-15 at over 1100MHz some people may be impressed.

you can hit 2.1v and be 99% safe. Decent cooling and 2.2v is also quite safe.

Try maxing your clocks, then lowering your timings

tbh i have had no luck maxing clocks the next ratio puts it at 961mhz and i know that is probably unattainable. so i just went straight for the clocks. lol. ill try increase voltage and see if i can beat the SPD as some sub timings are above SPD otherwise the system crashes on apply

    961 should be easy. I'm running 1110 4-4-4-12 on 800mhz rated RAM

yeh it was more fun than OC CPU because theres little voltage changes and Memset can do everything in windows, so hat was cool. i will definatly try the 961mhz from seeing your results. i mean it would be incredible to reach 1000Mhz then i could run the GSkills along side when they arrive. eligray are you using the D9's?

    I don't stop until I see flames!

    I got some cheap A-Data to 850MHz, 4-4-4-12 timings @ 1.95V.

    Go for 961MHz!

i put the sub timings back to auto, stuck it on 1003Mhz put it to 5-5-5-15, PL10 and primeing now. had to relax a few sub timings to stop it failing int he first test, but 3 tests have passed so far next to tighten the timings.

so far stable 20mins, still going

ive been running PRime95 for 30minutes, and just opened the computer to feel up the rams lol, they are just warm to touch, Vdimm is at 2.06v last i remember, may i say the ambient is about 20 degrees atm, england cant believe its snowing, yesterday i had CPU idleing at 27 degrees, usually its at 32 degrees ahaha. i have just tightened to 5-5-5-14 and tightened all the sub timings back to bios auto, P5Q Deluxe is very smart at this, just TRFC loosened from 42 to 43 and PL down to 9 from 10, got 8275mb read now.
Been priming that for 10 minutes.

    that was stable, next test:

im starting to reach deadends, what could i do next to maximise the OC. Also im at 2.1Vdimm now, i might reduce it later, but is it ok to run at that voltage, usually i had 1.9V. I use my computer to do gerneral things like browsing and play games.

Not bad, but nothing special either to be honest. Yesterday I myself discovered that my Cellshock sticks do 600MHz CL4, and that was at 2.08V with 4x1GB installed on a Maximus II Formula.

Also, I don't think I'd go past 2.1V with your RAM, since the chips probably aren't Microns and won't scale beyond that (they'd rather deteriorate).

just got it to Performance Level 7 which has given a bit more mb/s. i cant seem to reduce any more timings otherwise it crashes or fails Prime Blend. Also passed 1 hour Memtest, one instance per core.

I'm sure it was 600MHz 2.08V at least, 4x1GB. Pretty sure in CAS4 as well, I'll just have to test the sticks out some more tomorrow or so. Hopefully they scale decently with voltage as well.

Your mobo is very good too if it is allowing cas 4 @600+mhz with 4 sticks 2.08v
Does your ram voltage droop with 4 sticks ?
What mobo/bios setting are you using ?

Here is my max so far with 4x1 sticks i,m using 2.35v which droops to 2.30 ish with 4 sticks I,m gonna keep at it !!

Edit the pi run is only for testing stability (will do a set up run once i find my max frequency)

mean machine,no offense but i find that hard to believe, but if by chance you can reproduce this with proof then you sir will have my honest congratulations, you would then be in posession of one awesome kit of ram.
