The intel drive certainly does do better in iometer vs the mtron mobi's - about 50% better.
Does the improvement in satisfying a queue of I/O requests outway the seq. read/write difference?
(Seg read/write for 8 mtron 3000's should be - ~800/640 and 2 intel x-25m's should be ~500/140 based on the specs and linear scaling in Raid 0?)
Probably depends on your application.
