Here's how the top pieces came out and also how the inside panel will look. Don't pay attention to the wires you won't see them when I'm done.

I just saw your red and black extended ascension and I: J****d, in, my pants.

Question: Does anyone know if a Feser 480er will easily fit mounted to the quad top with a horizon back in an extended ascension?
980x build underway. 2600k commencing soon.

It is made out of a solid piece of billet aluminum.
There's a little more to go till it's done but I
wanted to show you guys and girls cause I
    just couldn't wait! Enjoy.

Do you think I should make it thicker???

I thought the case was expensive but I think there's going
to be more money in this thing in machined parts!!!
Oh well thats how it goes with this hobby.....

Geez, I was thinking about doing an extended Ascension build. Low and behold, you are doing a build VERY close to what I had in mind.

Great, now I have to think of another build...

GREAT job so far! I love the way it looks!

There's plenty of room in the world for two Ascensions that look similar.
There's so many variables I'm sure you could mix it up a bit.

So far it looks friggin awesome! I'm really digging the red fan filters on top and the red fan grill on the side. Black/Red blends in very well. Red Fan controllers were a nice touch as well
I also hate seeing cables (and tubing for that matter) so those cable guards were a nice tough (maybe a future product?)

The control box.. what is it exactly?

    Thanks Eddie

The control box will mount in front of the PSU
and will hide all the wiring coming from the PSU
to the rest of the case (fans,LED,lighting, etc)
The 1.25 inch square tubing will connect to the box.
I said it before I hate to see wires!
Pretty much all the wiring will be hidden.

Yeah, actually, I was thinking of starting a build log on it in the next few weeks, once I get some more time free. I am thinking of calling it "Inferno and Ash". I was thinking of some creative lighting using bubble or meteor lights to simulate a "Fire flicker" inside the case. Add in some UV lights, tubing, led spots on criitcal spaces, and you get the idea...

Yeah, you are right, I like the idea too much to just drop it because you are building yours.

ward0 you'll do fine, each case is an extension of each person so my case couldn't be yours and vice versa.

Here are some preliminary test fitting with the control box.
The box is not finished yet but I wanted to make sure there were not going to be any modifications needed. The lid you see will not be used as I modified the size of the box so a new lid is being made.
You can also see how the wires will come out of the channel to the motherboard.
While I was waterjetting out stuff I thought I might as well cut the hole for the CPU mount. That way I don't have to take the whole motherboard out when that next great CPU block comes out!

Enjoy and remember these are very preliminary and still need a bit of machining time to finish.

I was wondering why that notch was there in the control box and it all makes sense now. With 24 fans, you probably could get away with 2 aquero's to fully automate your watercooling experience
Seriously, my biggest regret was not getting a modular psu. Cable routing.. blah. If you don't go murdermodz, I'll send u a link to what sleeving you should get.

Dave, I think one of your long term projects should be to create the ultimate watercooling case, with hidden channels for radiators/pumps/hardrives/etc

Looks great so far. Keep us posted.

This is by FAR the best looking build I've seen in a VERY long time.

Question for you Dave, since I know you sell the pump stands, are you thinking about selling some of the different parts you're using in your build? In particular, I REALLY like the Fan Grill (that is just too damn sexy) and the brackets you are using between the Rads.

If not, would you be willing to sell the specs (or better yet the AutoCad files) for those pieces? I'm sure I can find someone locally who could do the machining / powder coating for me as I do not have the skills myself

I am looking to start a build in two weeks and honestly, this is the build that I want to model it after. I too hate to see wires, but frankly up until now, I didn't have a clue how I was going to go that. You have been a tremendous inspiration as to what can be done with planning and patience.
