Hes talking about Dice/phase or ln2. even with that some are saying the differences are not that great, but of course it will deal with the thermal throttling that is occuring, even 'chilled water' will help and probably the most cost effective way of getting the most from the chip.
Recently a friend had a 965 on a single stage phase unit which incidently copes well with qxxxx series chips but struggled with the 965 holding any reasonable clocks at high bclk. of course that could have been a bum chip.
My cascade will be regassed withing 2 weeks, im running a 920 so it will be interesting to see what difference that makes, ill let you guys know how it copes up.
Having said all that for anyone looking for 24/7 clocks, Id say 3.8ghz is perfect even on air with this set up the performance gains are noticable and comparible generally with much higher clocked 775 socket chips so in that respect im happy and its all good!![]()
